Stumbled into ACOTAR discourse again and can I say how annoying it is that SJM is treating Tamlin as a punching bag? Like, I get that Rhys and Feyre are her favorites but, woman, Tamlin deserves to catch a break. Its been so long that I have forgotten most of the books but I have been coming across excerpts on tumblr and, good lord, Feysand and the IC come across as a bunch of really mean kids who expect the world to bend to their whims.
And this is from someone who actually shipped Feysand at a point.
I was really disappointed with how she left stuff in book two and three to be very honest. It’s like she couldn’t prop up Rhysand without doing that to Tam’s character. Personally, I think Tamlin’s character is complex and I would love to read a book about him but not from SJM lol.
P.s I read these books when I was a teen and I liked Feysand then but I don’t know anymore, I kinda get annoyed with Rhysand’s character. He comes across as so effing insufferable that if I met him irl I wouldn’t want anything to do with him beyond the physical stuff :3 plus I fucking hated the mate bond bullshit in the series. Feyre and Rhysand seemed to have feelings for each other only after the bond materialised.

Also the advice to worship Ma Tara,who is one of the Mahavidyas, especially without guidance of a guru or any other trained spiritual teacher is questionable to say the least...

Okay so someone said that spirituality eventually brings you back to the material world because it makes you realise that you are not meant to avoid acting in the material universe and they were spot on.
I see a pure person, their eyes full of all things beautiful and celestial and I feel like there’s hope in the world.
My mind will always be boggled by the level of hate and racism against Indians that’s happening in the world right now. I was watching comments on the reels about the heatwave in India and how it killed people and the comments were so freaking racist. From celebration to people saying it’s our own fault because “they are dirty”. Then the heatwave in Europe happens and the comments are so drastically different.
Racism against Indians is so normal and it’s disgusting.
It was only a year ago that the Air India plane crashed and over 200 passengers died, and yet people in the comments were joking and celebrating the deaths of these people just because a majority of them were Indian. It’s horrific.
Indian lives just don’t matter to most people online and I’m so sick of it.
