I need to make a text post about this because if I dont this will be a video idea rattling around my head for the rest of forever....
in kind of order of appearance, taking into consideration feats of strength and ability up to and including post-canon.
J Egbert: Probably the least martially proficient of the Beta players at game start, but Egbert's god tier powers are pretty cracked, like, the windy thing is so fucking powerful goddamn, it would warrant A-tier alone, but then you factor in the retcon powers... able to change the narrative, peace out of haory situations, become intangible, and wield the wrath of a hurricane, crazy shit. S-tier.
Dave: Probably the most martially proficient of the Beta players, but dog got kind of cucked by his classpect, sure, time travel seems like a broken ability, but as a knight you realised Dave is pretty constrained in his god tier abilities, lest he run into more dead Daves. Still cool as fuck though. B-tier.
Rose: Youd think she wouldnt have much martial prowess going for her but she takes out a fucking ogre as soon as she enters the medium. Takes to alchemy like a pro. Sadly, all she gets from her god tier is a couple of fray motifs, some limited future sight, and god tier migraines. She still dissasembled an entire island without breaking a sweats, so... A-tier.
Jade: Broken god tier powers. First guardian powers. Once shes mind controlled by the Condesce she becomes an immovable object for the cast, requiring another S-tier (foreshadowing) to nullify her. S-tier.
Karkat: Most Alternians have martial prowess enough to put them in C-tier alone. Sadly, dawg doesnt god tier. Sure, hes the team builder, the glue that holds the team together... he has to be put to sleep for his own safety during the final fight in the Alpha kids' session. C-tier.
Aradia: Her telekinetic prowess and commune with the dead are enough to earn her A-tier alone, her god tier doesnt seem like too much, but shes able stop BN in the middle of his rampage. Plus summoning all those Aradiabots, critical to defeating the black king. I give her S-tier.
Tavros: Another guy who failed to ascend. At least hes got his animal commune going for him, and mildly resistant to spinal injuries. He gets C-tier, just about.
Sollux: Absurd psionic powers, didnt ascend to godhood but didnt need to. Also +1 life. A-tier.
Nepeta: Augh...hate this, done so dirty... didnt get to ascend, has good martial prowess. She deserves better but... C-tier
Kanaya: Didnt ascend, BUT she IS a rainbow drinker, immune to spinal injuries, that extra durability gets her B-tier.
Terezi: Another rough one... wish I could give her more, but she pretty much only has martial prowess going for her. Classpect powers come into play with guiding egbert with retcons, but thats about it. C-tier.
Vriska: This bitch. Yea shes cracked, mind control, very powerful classpect with ascension. I want to give her just A-tier, but with her hell-toer ascension, she sadly gets into S-tier.
Equius: Ugh, fuckin guy. Outrageous physical strength will get him B-tier. And its more than he deserves.
Gamzee: UGH, FUCKIN GUY. Fake godhood ascension. Aparently enough physical strength to make a difference in the black king fight? Once? He kills a bunch of C-tiers and Equius, I guess that gets him B-tier.
Eridan: UGH FUCKIN G- Okay, sure, starts with a broken rifle, could go toe-to-toe with Sollux for a moment. HOWEVER, NOT IMMUNE TO CHAINSAWS, UNFORTUNATE. C-tier with a side of royal blood privilege.
Feferi: Done dirty, painfully under-utilised. If she has any extraordinary abilities, they arent alluded to. Would put in D-tier, but she gets C-tier purely for surviving Alternia.
(Okay, rapid fire Beforans)
All the alternians are D-tier, big surprise, but there are two exceptions...
Aranea: Doesnt get much done during her session, but the psychic abilities she displays in S:[GAME OVER] are insane? Fucked up? Jade-tier fuck-around-and-find-out. Still didnt ascend though, dependent on the ring of life, not immune to spinal injuries. A-tier.
Meenah: By all accounts she should be no more powerful than Feferi, less so in fact, BUT, she goes toe-to-toe solo with lord english and doesnt die, inexplicably skilled. I think that alone nets her an A-tier.
Calliope: Doomed by the narrative, doesnt ascend, being a muse bumps her up from F-tier to the lone denizen of E-tier, unfortunate.
Alt-Calliope: Exists purely theoretically? Did not complete her session? Still ascended? Still confused about how that works, this was the low point of the comic for me tbh... Turns the green sun inside out... S-tier I guess?
Caliborn: Fucker broke his god clock after ascension, Lord of Time op, pls nerf. The literal big bad. Not immune to vore. Still S-tier.
Jane: Pesky friends keep dying Just/Heroic deaths? Pesky friends keep trying to usurp your presidency? Witch of life godhood will suit you well. A-tier.
Jake: The guy with ALL the potential, so much potential, ascends to godhood, uses that potential effectively once as of writing. I give him B-tier to keep it real.
Dirk: Fucking guy... Yea this guys is cracked and hyper-capable, to the extent he's B-tier even before entering the medium, and while his ascended god tier powers dont seem crazy to begin with... later... Egbert could nudge and adjust the narrative, Dirk controls the narrative outright... new big bad lets gooooo... S-tier.
Roxy: Dawg, Roxy is actually kinda cracked. Shes to have only alright martial prowess to start with, and her god tier powers are subtle, but kinda busted. She can just will ANYTHING into existence, she can evade detection by just zooping out of existence, rogue of void man... shits crazy. Also, CRAZY in a duel? She fucks up the Condesce something fierce. Even gets in the killing blow, yea her martial prowess is actually WAY up there, fuckin Strilondes man... A-tier
And what of the Delta kids? ... DONT KNOW! Theyre not even in the medium yet!
