I really don’t like how I tell some family members that I think one of my close guy friends has a crush on me and they all say that “he’s not a bad guy” and “I would approve of him”.

Like I know he’s a nice guy but I have major self-esteem issues. I was called “fat” my whole life as a child to an adult at times so I don’t think I could ever date a guy thinner than me.

Like if I did, I’d want to be held like a princess.

I don’t want to fear of breaking his legs if he tries.

This guy friend is not a bad guy but I just can’t.

It also doesn’t help that I was sexually assaulted by one of my old guy friends when I was alone with him. So now I fear being alone with a man who ever sees me romantically or sexually attractive.

People say “size doesn’t matter” but when you have crippling self-esteem and have a low view of your body image, it’s hard.
