Minutes turned into an hour and John Watson knew that the nurses wouldn’t be missing Sherlock Holmes any time soon. If the needle had injected his blood then he surely would be sent on his way home the moment the doctor received news on his recovery. Despite this being their first official meeting, he certainly refused to allow that to happen. Intuition led him to make this decision, to aid the other student – to save him from further difficulties. And he couldn’t deny the adrenaline that pumped in his veins fueled his underlying addiction; one he wouldn’t necessarily admit, not out of denial though.
“Sherlock?”
He called out briefly as he wandered to a corner of a building that usually remains empty at this time of day. Though the question is, did he listen to him or did he go off on his own? The second didn’t seem to surprise him in the least. “Are you here?”
“Hmm-…” Sherlock mumbles, eyes flickering open as he hears the sound of a familiar voice. He still felt a little off from the night before, and staying at the hospital probably would have been the best option but there was no way he could stare at those dull white walls any longer. He pushes himself up off the floor, a hand reaching up to run through his hair before he moves it to dust off his clothes.
He had visited his room for a brief moment to change out of the clothes he had been wearing yesterday and came to the spot that John told him to meet him shortly after. Sure there were probably far more fascinating things he could be doing at the moment, but he had to admit - Watson peeked his interest, as much as another human being actually could for him anyways. Sherlock dropped his hand to his side as he walked into the hall, eyes falling on the other male.
“Care for some take-away? I know a nice place not too far from here,” Sherlock suggests, before stepping around John and making his way back down the hall. He’s not very hungry, but he also doesn’t enjoy being in someones debt and after John had helped him twice, he figures he owes him something. Of course he would never actually admit to that though. There is also the very likely chance of Mycroft getting wind of what’s gone down at Uni and the last thing he wants is a never ending array of insults from his brother.
The mumble startled him, “Fucking hell,” Watson cursed blatantly before turning to look at Sherlock Holmes. The new change in attire gave away that the other male took a detour. While he couldn’t blame him for wanting, needing, to get out of the scrubs – his main concern is whether he had been spotted or not. “No one saw you?” He had to ask, the hospital staff gave no sign of sending out a search party, but in case he had to know in case something went wrong.
As the other walked, his feet turned, walking beside him without a moment to spare. “They won’t come searching for you, not with their reputation on the line—once it’s discovered that they lose a patient.” Clarifying this piece of information, it went without saying that there is a possibility that there’s always someone watching. It is the misfortune of attending such a vast University that consisted more shade than a dense forest. Eyes widened a touch at the invite, clearly not expecting it, he cleared his throat to ward any attention to his surprise.
A smile barely curved on his lips, “God yes, lead the way. You don’t suppose they have a bar on site?” With the students riding on the edges of their family’s names – it wouldn’t come as a surprise to him, nor would it bring about any form of complaints.
make my muse feel scared.
really. send SHIVERS down their spine, make them TREMBLE in fear. use their WEAKNESSES against them and hit them in their PRESSURE POINTS. break them, make them BALL UP in tears on the floor, cower in the corner. WHATEVER it takes, do it. TRIGGER WARNING.
Teen!lock-First Case
Mrs. Hudson: So, how long have you two been detectives?
Sherlock: *turns to John* What time is it?
John: *checks watch* 12:22 pm.
Sherlock: About seven hours.
@bakerstreetsconsultingsociopath
Sherlock was growing restless. There hadn’t been an interesting case in ages, and while he tried to keep calm for John’s sake, it was becoming extremely difficult for him to do so. It had been less than twenty four hours since their last case, but it felt like it had been forever. The “high” he usually got after working a case wasn’t lasting as long as it had before; possibly because of everything that had happened with Eurus, and he knew he needed something exciting before he found himself actually getting high. “John!” he yelled, not even sure where his friend was at the moment. He just hoped he was somewhere in the flat, because his phone was across the room and he didn’t feel like getting up to to get it in order to text his flatmate if he wasn’t home. “Tell me you’ve found something interesting this time!”
@hisjiminycricket
And as Sherlock inched closer and closer to the edge of forbearance. It didn’t matter how much time passed between their cases, Sherlock Holmes had BRILLIANT but also high-strung-when-not-constant-recess mind. And one of his forms of playtime would consist of a murder, missing persons, a decapitation, etc. Though it will always be beyond how a man so observant can forget that he sat just across across the room, already skimming through cases. Brows knitting together with a mild irritation, “Been here for the past two hours,” there is a mumble, but he couldn’t deny the underlying amusement that he felt -- over the years you get used to it. “Well, there’s a haunted object. It appears to be cursed.” Oh how memories could have been years old, but still so fresh, three words: Hounds of Baskerville.
