Ey y'all, I wanna shed some light on Neopets, because shit's been shady.
Let's start with this-
Neopets was going to be taken to court for their renewal issues, which stemmed from the constant complaints about the site charging members even after they cancelled their premium membership, got their accounts FROZEN, or even double charging them. The lawsuit was worded extremely poorly and instead of taking the actual claims of users they instead decided to say that the "fine print" was...essentially, too fine. That the site should have had clearer warnings.
No one mentioned the fact that these people had cancelled their memberships, or that it wasn't any fault of the users- no one mentioned that the FAQ (Facts and Questions board) on HOW TO CANCEL your membership was NOWHERE to be found.
The lawsuit was dropped by both parties without prejudice.
Which is complete idiocy. THERE IS A LAWSUIT HERE and IT DOESNT HAVE TO DO WITH THEIR FINE PRINT.
But here we are, 2020, and now we have this.
So, this might seem like a freak incident. Isolated. But we have multiple people voicing the same issues.
To summarize; The user asked for a refund, got told it would be honored, never got it, and when she tried to put in a claim to rectify her now negative PayPal balance TNT threatened to freeze her account if she didn't take back the claim.
If you're a part of Neopets Nation on Facebook then you can see the insane amount of people who have similar issues.
I know that Neopets is dear to us; but we, the users, should not be forced to deal with subpar customer service.
They take your money, they wrongly freeze accounts, they delete your hard earned pets, they take weeks, months, and YEARS to reply to tickets- even if you are at their throats constantly.
This ISN'T the only post you'll see. This is so far from all of the issues.
We need to do something.

I'll keep my merch as whatever I've given them is already gone, but I refuse to be a part of their increasingly mediocre, soulless site.
