New Products on the Way!

I reached my first goal on my Ko-Fi, so what does this mean? I have new products I’ll soon be able to offer! First thing I’ll be able to offer is tea light candles, which I am personally very excited about as I use a lot of tea lights in my personal practice. The other, however, is a surprise. So keep your eyes out for updates in the near future for new and exciting products!

I ordered a candle from hissonbird’s wares! I picked scents that to me represent Thor! The scents I went with were musk, pine, and rain. I asked for her to use less of the scent stuff in my candle as strong scents give me migraines. She was happy to oblige! The candle arrived earlier than expected and all safe in one piece. I think my candle smells more like rain than it does musk and pine but I think it’s just the scent my brain picks up first or maybe that scent oil is just stronger than the others. It smells really good, very refreshing! If you’re choosing rain as a scent though you might want to keep this in mind. But again, it could just be that my brain is picking up on that scent more because it’s one of my favorite scents!

I definitely plan on buying another candle from her. Probably several. I’m excited to experiment with scents and this list is long enough for a ton of combinations!

Overall I’d give the seller 10/10 for customer service with my special request and the candle itself 10/10 for being pleasantly scented and burning evenly and well. I’m quite pleased.

The Difference Between Tarot and Oracle Decks

Hello once again from your local tarot and oracle reader! As promised, today I'm going to discuss the difference between tarot and oracle, as this is something I've been asked quite a bit.

As I wrote last time, tarot is a set system of 78 cards in a deck with agreed upon meanings for both the upright and reversed. Though different decks might have minor variations in means, such as some decks don't include card reversals in their meanings, and just general minor differences based on how the artist interprets and designs the cards, they basis of each card has been predetermined. An example of this is the seven of pentacles, which is generally about hard work paying off, but the specific deck I have focus on the idea of "fruits of one's labors."

Oracle decks, however, are original, full systems of card names, meanings, themes, and depictions created by the artist. For example, I have the Adorabyssal Oracle deck which uses different mythological creatures and cryptids drawn in a, you guessed it, adorable fashion. That deck has over 30 original cards, and is definitely one of my favorites! I've been collecting oracle decks off and on for the past couple years, and I find that different ones tend to have different ideal uses based off their respective themes.

This is a big reason I give you, the recipient, the option of which deck you'd like used based off descriptions I've given the decks based off my own reading experience with them. Curious about a deck you've seen here? Ask for a reading with it and see for yourself what it has to tell you!

What is Tarot?

Hello and welcome everyone! First and foremost, I want to say a major thank you to every single one of you who have taken the time to like my page! I am so thrilled and honored that so many have taken an interest in my page! Thank you! I would also like to take some time to talk about something very important! What exactly is tarot? 

I was asked this recently and realized I was not sure how to answer on the spot. After all, I tend to spend most of my time around people who at the very least know what tarot is, if not practice it themselves. So what exactly is it? 

Tarot is a 78 card system of divination. There are the separated into 22 major arcana cards and 56 four suit cards from one to ten, page, knight, queen, and king, based off a deck of playing cards. The four suits are wands, cups, swords, and pentacles. These cards are often used in spreads or a single card pull in divination. Every card has a definition for what it means face up and face down, with meanings varying slightly between different decks.

What is divination? Divination is a combination of intuition and subconscious knowledge to interpret the world around oneself. Through the use of these cards, a diviner can piece together information past, present, and potential future. The key word is potential. Divination isn’t about predicting an inevitable future, it is first and foremost supposed to be something fun. In fact, tarot is rarely actually used to predict the future at all, and when it is, it is only a possible outcome. Tarot is mainly about reflection, both internal and external.
