❝ the league of villains . . . ?? what kind of poser name is that? ❞ the incredulity in his voice almost could not be clearer. ' league of villains '? that definitely sounds like the name of a group that is trying too hard . . . but it also gives him some insight into what kind of people these are. probably discontent with the way things are, and looking to stir up trouble . . . and a lot of it, if their willingness to attempt to assassinate the symbol of peace is any indication. what is not clear is just how established this group is. they knew what they were doing. they would have succeeded if things had gone just a little bit differently, or at least that is the sense he gets. the teacher, aizawa, is lucky to be alive.

❝ this group . . . how many people were there? it's easy for me to say that they sound lame, with a name like that, but . . . they successfully infiltrated the school. and the leader escaped, right? it almost sounds like they had intel on the whole thing, or am i being crazy? something about this doesn't feel right . . . i've got a sinking feeling in my stomach . . . ❞

Despite the seriousness of the situation, izuku can’t help but laugh a little bit. he’d blame the pain medicine and healing from recovery girl for the lapse in seriousness for a moment. but his twins was completely right; it was a poser name.

he frowns at the question, trying to remember how many. “so there were lots of smaller villains - my classmates and i were able to defeat them or get away. it was sort of like they’d pulled anyone in they could. i think there’s one leader, this guy with a hand over his face. he just kept saying how he wanted to kill all might. he had this creature that wasn’t affected when i hit it at all, and it took all might hundreds of punches…..” a pause as he takes a breath. “there was a mist villain - kurogiri, i think his name was? he had a warp quirk. he didn’t know our quirks - asui ended up in the water zone which was perfect for her frog quirk.”

“i guess…the leader is the one to worry about. they even went as far to jam communications, iida-kun had to run all the way back to the school. i wonder if something with the alarm…” an exhale. “but don’t worry. it’s gonna be okay. i’ll be okay, just a bit banged up…”

the following moments are silent as ryuusuke considers the answer he has gotten from his brother. a bunch of small fry . . . ? but all gathered underneath the leadership of a mysterious man with a deadly quirk, and a creature that, if not for all might, would be invincible. it almost makes no sense. then he wonders if the weak villains were not even essential, individually, to the plan. if the only role they were meant to serve was fodder, then . . .

❝ it feels sinister, ❞ he murmurs, rubbing his temple with one of his hands. trying to figure this out, while only having the information that is relayed to him ( rather than firsthand knowledge ) is giving him a massive headache. still, he feels like he is on the precipice of something . . . like he can almost understand, almost unravel the mystery. but he is missing a piece; he's sure of it.

❝ is this something an outsider could have orchestrated by chance . . . ? they didn't know everything, but it sounds like they knew more than they should have. do they have a bug? what is it? what am i missing . . .? ❞

my dad died on the first of january and everything's kinda been a struggle since. he was tremendously important and loved in our family unit, and while things are okay at the moment, it feels like a temporary peace. all i can do is focus on getting by. i do lurk here, but my dad is always in the back of my mind and that makes it really hard to do anything that requires real effort, like writing. i'm not planning on leaving, but it may be a while before i'm writing again.
