Love built and washed away

i feel this yearning i see myself somewhere the light burns deep and the moon awakens my comprehension i could feel the warnings i saw them all but i never saw just what you see and you couldn't see the fear inside me my eyes were blinded by the tears my heart had collapsed right in front of our eyes my soul takes flight you know my story as i know yours you see my soul and yours begins to show you know my heart and i know yours too i can't change all that you fear i don't think anybody can with all of these walls we've built its hard to understand my mouth speaks it tried to give us freedom from each bitter disappointment my eyes are closed that's when i knew everything had changed between us you're not listening i'm not talking there's nowhere left for us to go my back against the ropes our hearts shattered by our lack of hope when everything breaks nothing but darkness inside our worlds collide were we strangers this whole time was it me that changed was it you that broke away was it my past that blinded our hearts or was it your anger which guided us into this storm when i look deep inside i know that we'll never find the answers to the questions that buried us alive you and i will remain unknown until the answers are easily shown what happened before doesn't matter what happened yesterday is gone and what happens tonight might kill us but you and i both know exactly what happened between us pride and fear whispered in our ear the words became so loud and clear we couldn't ignore the fact we were building castles built upon the beach being washing away piece by piece the crashing waves breaking everything we ever desired what have we turned into what do we have left what we had is gone or so it seems was it carried away helplessly with each wave that crashed across our love or was it torn down from something above how do we move forward together neither one of us expects anything to change love must be blind how else could we not see see the storm clouds rolling in towards perfection or should I say what we beautifully crafted and presented as perfection we could have saved ourselves saved ourselves from these chains the chains that are binding us to pain and anger we could have surpassed anything anything approaching this catastrophe we call love but now it's almost inevitable that love alone can't change this madness but my love, you can always rebuild castles where true happiness lies we just have to find where that storm washed it away i don't know whether we're giving up or rebuilding the passion between us if there's still really any hope hope inside of our hearts to go back back to that shore in hopes to find where it all began all i know is time is about to vanish and without knowing where to find something out of nothing love is a masterpiece a painting one that's far too large even the best of artists aren't capable of perfecting alone the love between us became absorbed by all the things we feared is it too late can we rebuild our foundation start all over again has our love been washed away with all the tears we've cried i feel this yearning and i see myself by the shore the light isn't as bright and the moon has yet to shine we presented each other the warnings and now that we may never see eye to eye is this the end the end? Is this where we say goodbye.
