Last month NASA launched its long-awaited Europa Clipper, which will be one of the first missions to study Jupiter’s water world moon in detail. Since the early 70s, astronomers have found evidence that Europa contains a deep subsurface ocean under an icy outer layer, and many hoped that one day we might make it there to confirm it for ourselves. Europa Clipper represents the ultimate dream mission of astrobiologists, as the icy moon may contain ideal conditions for life floating in its massive ocean.

Last weekend marked two years since the launch of the first mission of the Artemis program, NASA’s sister to the famous Apollo missions. The uncrewed mission acted as a test flight for the Space Launch System (SLS) and Orion spacecraft, which will launch and carry future astronauts to the Moon.

Finally got my PE dismissal accepted

Another day and I just want to sleep. I didn't realize yesterday was the 50th day... Maybe I just need to rest a little before going back to study again, hopefully with more energy and motivation.

Highlighting Information in Textbooks.

Highligthing is always a key part of studying, it help us finding the important informantion faster and easier. But it is a doble-edge sword. If done right, it's amazing. If done wrong, it just makes studying more complicate and make us miss important informantion

How NOT to do it

Highlight entire paragraphs

Higlight with one colour

Highlight only the answers of practise tests questions

How to do it

Have different colours to higlight different things (for example, I use orange for key words, thick lines of yellow for key word's definitions/primary ideas, and thin lines of yellow for secondary ideas and examples)

Dont highlight unnesary words. The important information will stand out without filler words. Example: instead of "Rome was built on 753 BC" hightlight "Rome was built on 753 BC" Now, the key information (Rome/built/753BC) stands out in the sentence. Also, having the sentences reduced to key words without connection forces you to create those conections in your head and can help to get better in redaction of texts.

Highlight the information necessary to understand the topic, not what sentences you need to memorize (understanding is ten times better than memorizing)

112 Days of Uni [1/112]

Decided to do a take on the 100 dop challenge except with my uni semester. It's 16 weeks, 7 days, some days will be slow, others will be chaotic but if I am forced to finish this major I may as well have fun posting about it. This semester I'm taking two courses and a total of 12 hours a week however pre thesis is a really demanding course that has a big work load in between classes

First day was syllabus day, since Im retaking this damned class I already know most of the things and have most of the work done. I kind of feel like looking into transferring universities and majors to one abroad but really would need a job to pay for bills, etc. so that's out of the question for now.

finals countdown: 4 days

today was the last day of covering new material before finals! i've finished all of my "normal" homework for the term, so now it's just a few more days of intense studying and then i'm done. in some ways this is my favorite part of the term - i get to study in my own way, on my own schedule, and then show off all the things i've learned at the end of it.
