The tree doesn’t hog all the nutrients in the garden, the tree doesn’t withhold strength from the flowers. The tree shares, and the whole garden benefits from its benevolence, the tree provides cover for all the saplings, it doesn’t kill them. However the tree also doesn’t hold all the power in the garden, when foreign plants exist below it, the tree does nothing to stop their growth. In fact often, the garden can benefit from the foreign plants; and when a tree allows all kinds of plants to join its patch, the other trees can see the prosperity of those below the tree and marvel at the trees helpfulness. In this way the whole field benefits from the tree’s garden.

YAY I MADE A MALE KOBOLD

His name is Malrak, my first thought for him was an immortal kobold, he tries to bring people joy but can’t have it himself as all around him simply die in due time. That’s why he dresses like a jester, with bells on his horns, he can make people happy while staying distant

Anyway I clearly don’t know how to draw clothes so I would actually really like advice

ANYWAY! This is a Koblin (kobold goblin) I colored in and added a few things, her name is Ella, I have no plans with this but I will be learning to draw kobolds all on my own for sure (they’re my favorite).

The base comes from a f2u kobold base by Sayakay

(I actually originally intended to draw a male kobold but we go with what we got)

The first one is I think the best photo I have ever taken and I honestly could not tell you at what point I took it during all of our photoshoot time (I’m not even entirely sure who’s hand that is?) so it kinda shocked me while editing today

I am really REALLY tempted to use emojis in my creative writing assignment for class, like genuinely how do you express 🤷 without using emojis, it’s an entire punctuation system that I know works really well and I CANT USE IT

Imagine that one day as you're walking on a hot sunny path, your hat jumps off your head and lands into a muddy ditch. And you look at your muddy hat and ask it: "What did you do that for?"

"I don't want to be a burden anymore", your hat answers. "You are always carrying me around, and I can't carry you. That's not fair."

"I don't mind carrying you, little idiot", you tell your hat, "you hardly weight anything at all, and you shelter me from the sun."

"But that's different", your hat protests. "I don't mind the sun scorching on me. That happens anyway. It's literally no trouble for me to shade you too."

"Just the same it's no trouble for me to carry you. But now, because you wanted to stop inconveniencing and bothering me, I am now hatless and you are in the dirt."

You're gonna make stuff again. You're gonna make stuff you're proud of. You're gonna make stuff you're excited to share. You're going to feel that overwhelming drive to create, not just the frantic I want to want to you're stuck in now. You're going to have awesome ideas, and you're going to make them into reality. You're going to create again. You're still an artist. You're still a writer. You're still home to the same passion you had before. You'll find it again. It's not gone. It's just resting. Let it rest. You're going to make stuff again. I promise.

Look, I’m not trying to be weirdly sentimental or anything; but I’ve noticed a weird statistic in modern high schools during modern times. Freshmen are disproportionately nihilistic and depressed, this isn’t to say that a person is wrong for being these things, when I was a freshman I was nihilistic too, it’s something most people went through, even if you didn’t realize it at the time (btw I’ve sent two people to mental hospitals, as a friend I am a mandated reporter and that needs to be known). Saying all this I’m basically fresh off being a freshman so I’m clearly not the most mature, but I’ve noticed a change in the student body during sophomore year; almost all people have changed from the mindset of nothing matters, therefore why should I live (nihilism broken down to basics, especially mixed with depression). To the mindset of nothing matters therefore I should make meaning for myself (existentialism broken down to the bare basics). This change hasn’t only applied to the people who were relatively happy either, this applies to the large percentage of people even those who were (and still are) depressed.

This is all to say that if you are a freshman in high school, know that it will get better if you live, that’s not to say that the reason this has happened isn’t because almost the entire student body just snapped and this is the result but it allows you to have joy in life that’s all that matters, others around you may not understand but it is much healthier for you to find meaning than wallow in sadness because we’re all going to die

Life does not have meaning, so dick around while you are alive.
