Amelia didn’t give him a response at first, placing her lunch on the table and sitting down with a small smile on her face. “D’you need someone to look at that?,” she wondered, taking a sip from her mug. Eyes trailed over his face for a second. “You know we’re wixes, right? You don’t have to suffer.” She shrugged. “Annie from the Obliviator’s office knows a lot of healing spells, and we could always take our lunch at St. Mungo’s. Anything to stop you from looking this miserable.”
Benjy was glad when she decided not to argue at his tone, especially when he didn’t mean to use it with her. He mumbled an apology before glancing at her, poking tenderly at the bruise on his cheek. “Something might be cracked, but I’m fine. It’ll heal.” He waved off as per usual. Ben didn’t typically like going to the hospital or a healer because he was usually able to tough it out until it got unbearable. “You know Annie scares me. She looks like I’m going to go around and get in fights with everyone or get someone pregnant.”
