EXPERIENCE:

I’ve been building and repairing my own stuff since I was 13. That includes bikes, cars, motorcycles, guns, bombs, you name it. I can drive all of those things. Except for guns. But I can shoot those.

I’m combat trained and a Pokemon trainer. I also like guns. And bombs, but I absolutely do not make bombs.

ANY PARTICULAR REASON WHY YOU WANT THIS JOB?:

I like the smell of motor oil and free burgers.

EXPERIENCE: No one would say that fighting isn’t what most of us do best. Just the number of times you’ve personally seen me defeating the others should convince you of that.

ANY PARTICULAR REASON WHY YOU WANT THIS JOB?: Not to work under you, for starters. I suppose, well, you could do with some help and supervision. I am the more experienced one, after all. Besides, there’s nothing much better to do in this city, so I thought I might as well find something to pass the time with. Again, it’s not because I particularly want to work with you, or anything!!

He should really stop teasing him, but, the opportunity is too great to pass up. “Alright, alright, jokes aside. I do know how ya fight, so, yeah I’d say you’re pretty qualified. Thus! “Holy shit Santa-?” He mutters before realizing his mistake. “I-I mean! Holy crap! Yeah. Hahaha... Well anyway! Seems you got everything in order, I trust that amount of experience will help us a ton. So. Welcome to the Burners! Glad to have you on board.” He can’t believe he just processed SANTA’S application. If he had a mom, he’s pretty sure he would shout ‘holy fuck’ at her.

NAME: Rex AGE: 27 PLACE OF RESIDENCE: Z-2 APPLYING FOR: Mechanic EXPERIENCE: I’ve performed extensive repair work on a pretty big airship–my own.  The Black Crow made airplanes look tiny by comparison, and I knew it inside-and-out.  I know how engines work and I can figure out things I don’t quite understand just by examining it. ANY PARTICULAR REASON WHY YOU WANT THIS JOB?: When I first came to the city I didn’t know a damn thing.  I only saw a couple familiar faces, but not many of them actually stayed.  Thankfully I’ve met some really amazing people who helped me get on my feet and adjust to living here, and I wanna give back somehow, show others the same kindness that total strangers showed me. Located between Sectors 001 and 006 lies the official headquarters of Hive City’s very own Burners - a group of people aimed to help, protect, and give back to the Cittazens of Hive City. Not only are the Burners a city-wide neighborhood watch to protect the city, but also are a repair shop and parcel delivery service, all attached to a 24/7 diner that serves not only the best burgers and fries, but also a safe haven for those who need it.

New Management!

It was awfully quiet in the Burners head quarters. Something was amiss. It was... Really boring. Also like. He was pretty sure they haven’t gotten any new people in a shit ton of time. That’s kinda weird. So. He does the only thing he knows how to do!

Ask his boss.

“Miiiiiike!’ He yells while knocking the door to his office, very loudly at that. Almost enough to wake up those inside the building. “Miiiiike? I haven’t seen you in a while where the heck are ya!” He’s usually in his office right? Like. That’s where he’s been a lot lately. Riiiight?

“...This is startin’ to piss me off.” He knocks some more. “MIIIIKE. MIKE!! WHERE ARE YA!?” He shouts at the door. “IF YA DON’T OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW I’LL BUST IT OPEN!” He waits a couple of seconds. And get’s a little worried before busting down the door.

“MIKE CHILTON WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING-!” He stopped as soon as he realized that there was no one else in the office with him. He paused and looked around. Realizing how dusty everything seemed before taking out his phone and looking through his contacts.

...Yeah there was no sign of ‘Mike Chilton’ or ‘Cool Guy’ as he listed he sighs. 

“Well this sucks.” He says sitting in the chair and kicking his feat up on the desk. “How many apps we got?” He stares into the folder and sees-... “Nothing! Not a damn app. Well alrighty then. Guess I’ll have to take up the mantle now and promote the heck outta this shit.” He says before sitting straight up again.

“Alrighty! Hive City Burners is back under new management! Until Mike get’s back.” He says to no one in particular. If he get’s back, he thinks in the back of his mind... Yeah whatever he’ll be back soon.

NAME: Steel Meridian AGE: Adult PLACE OF RESIDENCE: District Alpha APPLYING FOR: Mechanic. Can also handle organizational duties if required. When equipment is returned, can join neighborhood watch operations. EXPERIENCE: Previously dealt in trade of weapons and weapon modifications as well as maintaining military equipment. Militia leader. Have worked with technology of varying levels of technological advancement. ANY PARTICULAR REASON WHY YOU WANT THIS JOB?: To be frank, I just wanted work, and you needed skills I have. But you guys do good work, standing up for the weak and innocent. It seems like a good cause to support. PATCH COLORS: White and Beige

Fox skims the paper over and reads over this applicant’s experience and skills, so this person was part of the military before? But if they’re good working with weapons and various technologies, they were definitely fit to be a mechanic.

“What’s with people not wanting to disclose their age? Are people really that sensitive about that sort of thing?”

“But other than that, your application is excellent and you’re more than qualified for that job. If you prove yourself you might even be promoted to the head mechanic, but we’ll see.”

Fox gives Steel a nod and tosses them a patch.

"Welcome to the team, be sure to stop by Mike’s office sometime, he’s the man in charge and he can answer any questions you have. And since you’re living in a district, go mention that to him, he might be able to hook you up with a place to stay in the headquarters.”

NAME: Drift AGE: A number with too many zeroes PLACE OF RESIDENCE: A-5 APPLYING FOR: Burner! EXPERIENCE: Military experience offworld, under two different factions. ANY PARTICULAR REASON WHY YOU WANT THIS JOB?: I want to help protect those who can’t protect themselves. That’s the main reason, anyways.  PATCH COLORS (2 colors - one for the flame, one for the center): Red flame, white center

"What’s with everyone either being a kid or over a thousand years old? But hm, military experience on both sides? At least if we end up getting stuck in a dire situation, we can trust you to not be biased. Not to mention you look huge and pretty damn durable.”

Geez, this guy put Rob 64 completely to shame..

“Sounds like you would definitely be helpful to have on the team.”

"Welcome to the Burners, Mike isn’t around currently so if you got any questions, shoot me up.”

Fox tosses a patch upward, hopefully the guy could see it considering how huge he was.

NAME: Frisk AGE: I’m 12. (this is crossed out, someone felt guilty for lying) 9, but I am very mature! PLACE OF RESIDENCE: Sector 001 APPLYING FOR: Janitor EXPERIENCE: I helped my mom keep her school clean before she could hire a proper janitor. Does that work? ANY PARTICULAR REASON WHY YOU WANT THIS JOB?: Well, for one, you’re helping people. It’s admirable. I want to be able to support that, even if it’s only with cleaning. Secondly, you seem kind, and your information said you’d hire people who couldn’t find jobs elsewhere. It’s hard for someone my age to find a job (even if I am not a child mentally anymore). I don’t want to have to resort to dishonestly to make a living. I’m sorry I can’t do much, but I thought this might work. PATCH COLORS (2 colors - one for the flame, one for the center): Blue and purple (like a stripped sweater)

“…. You’re 9 years old.. why do you need a job? Don’t you have better things to do like throwing rocks or going to school? But uh… you know it’s generally against the law to hire kids. right? That’s probably why you can’t find anything.”

Fox lets out a soft sigh and shakes his head, as much as he thought about denying this application, who could have the heart to deny a child in need?

Besides, if it were Mike handling this he’d probably hire this kid without a second thought. It wasn’t like he was using dangerous equipment or something, it was just janitorial duties nobody else wanted to do. Hopefully he wouldn’t regret this decision later, this kid seemed pretty mature for their age.

“Look.. if you really having that hard of a time, I guess I’ll let you do some small stuff. I can’t exactly put you on the payroll since you’re underage but we can make this work, maybe we can turn this into some.. uh.. child internship program or something. But that doesn’t change the fact that you’re a kid, you need to stay out of everyone’s way and avoid all the dangerous equipment in the garage and the kitchen.”

“Remember, this is work, not a daycare center where people drop off their kids.”

“… You’re lucky I’m so nice, welcome to the Burners.”

NAME: Peridot AGE: 3000+ PLACE OF RESIDENCE: Y-4 APPLYING FOR: Mechanic

EXPERIENCE: I’ve got several hundred years’ worth of experience with the Gem technology of my Homeworld, generally ships and injection drills, and have been working at both the Mystery Shack and Tailored to Kill as a simple technician and general repair-Gem for some time now. 

I can guarantee that I understand the functions of most Earth-made tools.

ANY PARTICULAR REASON WHY YOU WANT THIS JOB?: I’m hoping to begin working on more advanced human technology than broken lamps and sewing machines, this seems like the most logical next step for me to take.

I also wish to observe those dedicated to the protection of others. For research purposes.

PATCH COLORS: The darker green of her (real) legs for the flame and the yellowy-green from the diamond emblems for the center.

“Hundred years worth? Wait.. you’re over three thousand years old? But I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised seeing how you’re a sentient rock.”

Fox traps his finger on his muzzle, skimming over the application a few times to make sure everything was in order. So far nothing was giving off any red flags, with all the experience Peridot has with various technology it’d be silly to reject this application. Besides, Fox has seen Peri a few times before and she seemed pretty alright.  

"But you’re applying to be a mechanic, right? if you have experience working with ships, will probably have no problem dealing with the stuff in the shop.”

“Seriously, you’re overqualified and you’ll have no problem working with us. You’re going to fit in here just fine.”

Handing Peri a patch, he gives off a welcoming grin. 

“Welcome to the Burners!”

Fox eyes the letter that was slipped under his door, looks like Mike was busy for whatever reason and couldn’t run the place. Considering he was living at the headquarters, he guessed it made sense that Mike would ask him to watch the place. This meant more responsibilities -but- at the same time he was getting a promotion so he couldn’t complain.

Besides, he could now run things like he did during Star fox.

“So I guess I’m in charge now, this is a nice change of pace.”

NAME - James Jr. (Fox) McCloud

AGE - 21

PLACE OF RESIDENCE - District Gamma ( .. If that even counts as a place of residence, so I’m homeless? )

APPLYING FOR - Burner / Mechanic

EXPERIENCE -

I have several years of flight and combat experience, I’m also the leader of a small mercenary group called Starfox. I’m pretty experienced in using different types of explosives and weaponry and I also have some experience in maintaining different types equipment and vehicles. 

I’m a pretty quick learner so I’m open to whatever work you have for me.

ANY PARTICULAR REASON WHY YOU WANT THIS JOB? -

I just arrived in this city with hardly anything and I need a steady form of work to help get by. The Burners also seem to match with my ideals and it looks like this job has a steady paycheck without relying on dirty work.

All the other groups in this city seem like they’re entirely based on commissions and volunteer work, so this is a nice change of pace. 

PATCH COLORS - Blue and red works? I’m not picky, have fun with it.

It would be a lie to say that Mike wasn’t impressed right now. Fox did mention some of these things to him before, but everything sounded so cool. And yet, so similar. The Burner had a feeling that he and the mercenary would get along. This solidified it.

He can’t help but hand Fox his patch, along with a set of keys to the Burners’ garage and one of the guest rooms on the top floor. “I was on the streets for a month, too. I’d rather not have someone else suffer that, especially if they work with me. We’re a team, and we have to look out for each other.”

“So welcome to the team, Fox! I’m really lookin’ forward to working with ‘ya! And if you get your Arwing back, you gotta let me fly with ‘ya at least once, okay?”

Mike nods. This guy, he had talked to him once before. To be honest, from what he saw, he definitely seemed like Burner material. And from his application, he could see why.

“Money’s definitely important, but protecting the people you care about is just as satisfying. Not to mention, feeding that wife and kids is pretty important, too.” He can’t help but wink playfully at him, handing him a patch.

“Either way, welcome to the Burners, Kittan! Glad to have ‘ya on the team!”

[ Urgent news, Burners.

If you haven’t heard by now, there is someone in Sector 004 who caused a massacre and is now trying to shut down the trains. At least, that’s what I’ve heard from the broadcast that I just witnessed.

This is a call to action. Report to the Headquarters immediately to set up a plan for action. We cannot have this person harm anymore innocent lives here in our city.
