Some gestures drawn from imagination and rhythmic motion, creating a playful little composition.
Simple face study of Shiina Ringo. I think I captured her attitude the best in the bottom-left manga-style concept sketch.
A poster I made to support my Japanese friends at Arigatou Fund. I used ArtRage for the digital illustration and Photoshop for the typesetting.
I downloaded the latest MyPaint via ppa and decided to start wrapping my head around some of the different brushes with this test render.
If you're an artist running Linux, check out the PPA: https://launchpad.net/~achadwick/+archive/mypaint-testing, or "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:achadwick/mypaint-testing && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install mypaint". The UI improvements over the stable version are quite a treat!

Linux Distro In-Progress
I don't want to reveal too many specifics about this project yet, but I've got an umbrella of good ideas to create a Linux distribution targeted towards creative individuals. I know there are quite a few of those already, but non which work entirely to my liking. For this distribution, I'll cherry-pick an optimized set of some of the most functional and reliable open-source tools for media creation, combined with my own visual refinements to the desktop experience.
I'll keep you posted as development continues, but please accept this screenshot for now as a foggy window into the future.
Palettes a blur, colors harmonious and contrasts sharp.
Functional Gnome 2 environment before installing Gnome 3 on Linux Mint 11. It took me a while to get things setup the way I like it after a fresh OS install, but I'm ready to ditch my customization due to the fact that Gnome 3 shows a lot of promise for complex multitasking, as well as being lighter on system resources than Compiz.
I'm following this guide (Adding GNOME 3 to Linux Mint 11) if you're interested in installing it for yourself. The instructions should apply to any distro based off of Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal.
I'll share my thoughts about the new windowing environment when I'm done evaluating Gnome 3. Wish me luck!
Seems like a pretty fair estimate based off of what I've seen on tumblr so far.
Wow, first thing I do on tumblr is search for "smash bros" and here it is!
Finally has landed.
Everyone seems to be hip to this tumblr biz, so here eye is.
