If Tails ever needed to wear glasses, I think he'd hesitate. He used to get bullied for his two tails and for tinkering with tech. So imagine adding glasses on top of those reasons for bullies to target him (it is a cliché, though it's still a thing). Even if he hasn't been bullied since he met Sonic and the rest of his friends.
After spending so much time being his Miles Electric and many other screens, he does end up becoming farsighted. And after swallowing his fears he buys a pair of glasses. However, he does not directly put them on, ever. He only has them on hand when he really needs them, and then he holds the glasses with one or both of his hands in front of him and looks through the lenses that way. They never go on or touch his face, he just moves the lenses over whatever he needs to read.
In fact, it is Sonic who wears Tails' glasses the most... because he puts them on to try and make Tails feel better about them. Or as a little joke.

This started as part of the DTIYS that @thetailsguy did on the ex bird app, but I got a little carried away bc I love the Tails Frontiers AU!
An old headcannon of mine was that Tails just can't lie. He can't bring himself to ever say something that isn't true whether it's a white lie or a hypothetical bad faith lie. My thoughts were that dishonesty goes against his one of his character traits of being loyal, and a part of being loyal is being honest. Since I saw one of his biggest traits being loyalty.
Now while I still see one of Tails' biggest traits being loyalty, the rest of my headcannon has shifted a bit. Now the way I see it is that Tails can lie, but he's very uncomfortable doing so and has very obvious tells when you know what to look for. So it's a bit more nuanced. He doesn't do it often, but when he does he doesn't have bad intentions. He usually does it when he feels the need to 'protect' himself.
When he feels like he messed up on a mission big time, so bad that he can't even bring himself to apologize or to explain all the things that went wrong on his end. He just puts the blame on a random badnik or some sort of other interference he couldn't control. Because he fears that if he messed up too badly that everyone would leave him and he'd be all alone again, like back on West Side Island.
Or when he hasn't been taking good care of himself. He's only eaten granola bars and drank over a dozen coffees over the last several days. He's barely slept, but he musters up whatever little energy he has left to mask himself.
He's not just lying to other people sometimes, sometimes he lies to himself. Sometimes he believes in his lies more than other people do.
The only one who can always tell is Sonic. Too bad Sonic isn't always around to catch him when he falls into his own pit of lies.

Last night me and my sister and I watched old Barbie movies (for nostalgia), and theres this specific song from the Princess and the Pauper called "The Cats Meow," and I couldn't stop smiling because I kept on imagining Sonic singing this specific verse to Tails when he starts to feel insecure about how he looks.

After beating THE END, Tails appears to go to... heaven? Cyberspace Heaven? What exactly is this place, and will Tails manage to leave it and reunite with his friends?
Cyber Heaven is the closest description the ancients gave to this place - it is called Erehwon. This place offers tranquility, peace and freedom of whichever burden you beared in this life. In short: it's a place where your last tracked memories of your soul can forever rest.
Tails appears to have found a way into this cyber space, how and if he can reunite with his friends is still a mystery waiting to be told. (Aka spoilers that I can't say yet) but here's a little concept snippet that may get you a read out of it!
All I can say is that this was the only choice Tails had, and his chances for it working as planned were only 15%.
