one morning after a cup of coffee at Hai Peng, i took a walk around the town. as usual, to see people around, what they do and their living style, to take photos of course. i had a rest at a gas station, the sun not so much chill. then i saw there is a village just behind the gas station. wooden house everywhere. they have a great taste of flower, growing beautifully out of their garden. i met kids and their mothers who just got back from a wedding, i think, because the way how they dress with kurung and bunga telur. there was an abandoned house, with bougainvillea blooming. i was stunted. i wish i had a colour film on that day. but not to worry, you can have your own colour on this photo.

This is will be my last post for my Dental Series. There are a lot of other images i want to share about, but im not going to fill up my gallery in a dental clinic and talking about teeth all the time. It was documented by me using a 35mm film camera with XP2 Super, a black and white film by Ilford. The film was pushed to 1 stop and was developed and scanned by @darkroom8studio with D76 at normal process. Thank you to Dr. Nanda for letting me document him at work as this is my first great experience to photograph inside a clinic. I photographed this syringe at Nanda’s before i met Penn. I was quite shocked when i saw Penn’s body of work somewhere on the internet for the first time, of his still-life images. He was a great artist during his time both in commercial and fine art world. During his early works, he loves to experiment himself photographing surreal objects in the street. Penn is a great influencer in the photography world especially with his portrait and still-life works printed using a platinum-palladium process. I’ll share some of my still-life images at Nanda’s, later. . Dental checkup is always the last thing i would do ever since i was a kid even if there was a million in front of me. Everybody must have their scary thing in their life. I have met a person who is scared of their dreams, this could be a joke, unfortunately, this situation could leave a person sleepless, even for days. I guess everybody is scared of something. . Kikagaku Moyo — i’m going to start over my images posting here with a sitar music behind my ear by Kikagaku Moyo. This is my self-portrait in a dental clinic owned by Dr Nanda while i was took some photos of him at work. He is great dentist and i think i last checked on my teeth was during high school.
