From a bug’s perspective, humans are ageless eldritch beings who would kill them without a second thought. You are a fly among many, infesting one of their basements, but one of your kind made the mistake of irritating the human. Now the human is out for blood.
I heard a very similar story from a 19-year-old white trans guy. He and 700 other peaceful protesters were surrounded and tear-gassed by police while walking away from the main protest area. Some of the cops laughed at and took video of some of the protesters who were crying. When the 19-year-old was detained, the officers debated amongst themselves about whether he was a man or woman. They said “You never know these days. Maybe he’s an alien.” He was then searched by a female officer and placed on the bus for women. His zip ties were so tight his had turned blue. He spent 2 hours with them on and asked 5 officers to help him before a 6th officer took the zip ties off and got him medical attention. His hand was numb until the next morning.
There was no reason for this to happen. He’s lucky he is white.
Believe black people when they tell you the abuse they have suffered at the hands of police. And then take action to make sure it never happens again.
[id: Twitter thread by @ juliacdupuis on June 4 2020. It reads: “I was arrested on June 2nd, 2020 with around 100 other protesters in Los Angeles. While I was ziptied and facing the wall, two male officers joked behind me about my gender presentation: “Do you think it’s a female? Are you sure?”
They then proceeded to start patting me down - touching my breasts and my front/ back pockets, still laughing. Finally, one of them admitted,“ We shouldn’t be doing this.” Then they called over a female officer to search me. Their names are Officer Cho and Codilla of the LAPD.
I was not the only gender non conforming protestor to be called “it.” There were trans/non-binary protestors divided into the ‘male’ and ‘female’ buses and deliberately misgendered. I was also not the only protestor to be sexually harassed or made uncomfortable.
After being held for over 4 hours - with protestors vomiting, fainting, forced to pee in their seats, losing circulation in their bruised wrists/arms - many began to advocate. We demanded access to bathrooms, water, and medical attention. We held them accountable to the law.
The only response was an officer telling us to “stop acting like high school girls.” We were held even longer, watching other buses with prisoners being processed and released. When I got off the bus, an officer said, “Now that you’re acting reasonable, we let you off the bus.”
We spoke up about LAPD abuse and were punished for it. They heard us begging and screaming for medical attention and chose to keep us there for 5 ½ hours to silence us.
After the zip ties were cut off, I was threatened by an officer who said: “Stop it with the attitude. This is us being nice - I can make this much worse for you.” In response to us advocating for our rights, they told us: “You have no rights here.”
This is what protestors are facing. This is the violence and harassment police have been using to silence us, wear us down, and force us off the streets. Even without rubber bullets, tear gas, and batons, they have other means of physical and emotional violence.
This is just a taste of the brutality that black and brown people experience with police. It is a privilege to be shocked by this. It is a privilege to be violated and humiliated for the first time. And I’m sure that my whiteness protected me in custody as it did on the street.“ End id.]
reblog this if your blog is a safe space for poc
anonymous leaked bolsonaro’s private info including his credit card number and someone on twitter bought a whole ass macbook pro with it. yes. a person bought an macbook pro with the president’s credit card. this country really isn’t for beginners

hey, brazilian person here. it may all sound funny and shit (and damn, he even got affiliated to many left wing parties) but… he’s been trying to insure a dictatorship even since he got elected. there’s been protests against democracy and he’s been attending them all (without a mask, btw. meanwhile, almost 30k have died of coronavirus, we still got no health minister, even if i called it anarchy we still would prefer anarchy cause this is a whole new level). we are now standing in solidarity with USA! our police system is the most deadly in the world, killing 2x more than the american, specially young black kids. if you can, please keep an eye out for us and sign the petition justice for João Pedro
PAY ATTENTION TO BRAZIL. BLACK PEOPLE ARE BEING KILLED EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. AND SEVERAL OF THEM ARE FUCKING KIDS.
the one petition everyone is sharing is for João Pedro, was was killed inside his home, he was shot on his back. 70, and i repeat, 70 shots were fired against the house he was in, and the police claimed it was because they were in a confront. everyone near his house confirmed there wasn’t anything going around.
but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

“it’s okay to disagree” is for things like “i like chocolate and you like vanilla” not for whether or not people deserve fundamental human rights, what the fuck
I’ve realized my Ideal Outfit is this:
button-ups, high-waisted jeans, and Docs. You literally can’t go wrong.
it’s perfect. you can dress it up or down. it’s flattering on any body type. it’s the perfect amount of androgynous, and it even has Femme and Masc variants:
Right now I’m wearing a botanical print blouse I thrifted off etsy and it’s from the 90s so it has shoulder pads sewn in. fuckin sweet is what it is
furious that I look like this every single day
The IDEAL
Weirdly anti-millennial articles have scraped the bottom of the barrel so hard that they are now two feet down into the topsoil
its so wild like “this generation with no fucking money is learning to prioritize essentials” and all these chucklefucks can write is advertisements for these companies
at least our jeans won’t tear at the seams after two washes
FUCK FABRIC SOFTENER IT’S UTTERLY POINTLESS
AND FUCK DRYER SHEETS LITERALLY NOBODY EVER HAS ENOUGH OF A PROBLEM WITH STATIC TO WARRANT PAYING OUT THE ASS FOR THAT SHIT
DO YOU WANT CLEAN CLOTHES? YOU DON’T EVEN NEED TO BUY FUCKING DETERGENT JUST MAKE YOUR OWN* IT’S SO GODDAMN EASY AND 80X CHEAPER
FUCK THE ENTIRE LAUNDRY INDUSTRY *Fuck The Entire Laundry Industry Recipe
1 cup Washing Soda (not Baking Soda. Different things.)
1 cup Borax (not Boric Acid. Also a different thing.)
½ cup - 1 cup grated bar soap (you can use literally anything. I often use Ivory because it’s easy to get and I find it works well, a lot of people like Fels-Naptha, which is an actual laundry bar. Some people use Dr. Bronner’s. Really does not fucking matter.) After grating your soap, combine all ingredients. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Use maybe a ¼ cup per load.
^^^ I’ve done this for years now and it works as well as any store bought detergent
WHAT Thank you, tumblr user awfullydull! Your URL does no justice to the good advice you give!
Also you can MAKE your own washing soda very VERY cheaply.
Step one: acquire $5 bag of baking soda from Costco.
Step two: lay that motherfucking baking soda out on a baking tray.
Step three: bake the baking soda on a tray in an oven at 400° for 1 hour (to make the moisture evaporate, leaving washing soda)
Step four: revel in how easy and cheap it is to make your own washing soda, and maybe take a moment to be angry that the industry upcharges the fuck out of something that is so easy to make.
I see some of y'all complaining about static and/or wanting nice smelling laundry. Go to a craft store, find 100% wool yarn balls. If it doesn’t come in a ball, ask an employee to make it into a tight ball for you. Wash in the washing machine to make it felted. Remove from washer, add a few drops of essential oil to the ball, allow to seep in. Dry with clothing. Doesn’t need to be rewashed ever, and if it stops smelling, add few more drops of essential oil. Bam, reusable dryer sheets.
I love this post so much it’s filled with helpful advice, hatred, saving money, and fucking the system all in one
this is a fucking issue
Boys are beautiful
boys are amazing
boys are strong
boys are great
they are NOT gross
they are NOT the worst
they are NOT stupid
they are so fucking capable.
There are trans boys. There are nerodivergent boys. there are poc boys and lgbt boys and there are tall boys and short boys and chubby boys and thin boys, dorky boys and macho boys and boys who like dresses and boys who dont. There’s so many different types of boys and they ALL deserve love and ALL deserve to feel safe and welcome here. yes, even the cishet white boys. judge the boys by their personality, not their gender. As a nerodivergent trans boy. This hurts me. i understand women need the confidence boost but men do as well.
PLEASE reblog this if you believe boys deserve just as much love as girls do. ESPECIALLY if you yourself are a girl.
thank you 🖤

Okay, hopefully that’s a good start <3
the OP of the screenshotted tweet is on tumblr, and an author too, having put out Chameleon Moon and related stories.
I’m really relieved that both RoAnna and Heather’s books are linked on this post because if their tweets were going to be circulating around Tumblr with no way to indicate that Heather’s written a three-book (so far) fantasy series about magical lesbians and bi women in early 19th century Central Europe and RoAnna writes hopeful superhero dystopians that feature the only f/f/f triad MC’s I can think of in any book, that would have been hecking unfair.
@affablyevil, I hope that helps, but if you want more books, here’s a list I made a while ago of ten SFF f/f’s where they don’t die, and I am continually reading more and recommending more. (Have you heard of Flowers of Luna? College f/f set at fashion design college on the moon.)
[image description: a tweet from RoAnna Sylver (@RoAnna Syvler) reading “This June, please rememeber that there are more LGBT books than the ones you see everywhere put out by the Big 5, ad indies are amazing/worthy.” The next reblog is a tweet from Heather Rose Jones (@heatherrosejones) reading: “Making a list of queer SFF for Pride Month? Remember to look outside the mainstream presses. Don’t shut queer publishers out of queer lit.”]
