I feel like when he first met her he was instantly interested and omg probs tried hitting on her and idk how that went but as soon as he found out that she was a rival hunter he was like “go home” on the outside but on the inside he still cares??? honestly i think part of why he wants her to leave IS b/c he cares and he doesn’t wanna lose anyone else he cares about so if she goes home then that’s 1 less person to worry about 

that being said, he doesn’t like that he likes her especially since she’s a rival hunter so he deals w/ that by being a dick to her?????

lmaooo afkwoijwf anyway knowing sam and how much he actually cares about ppl (even tho he has a rough way of showing it) if he was somehow involved w the whole vamp ordeal i think it probs would have been inadvertently??? or at least by a sequence of accidental events lolol maybe related to him finding out she’s actually part of the gresham hunters??? and in trying to protect her from dracula and hunt him himself he actually did the opposite and sent him to her lmao. i also luv the idea of him hitting on her the first time they met bc she probs would’ve found it endearing lol like “awww you think you actually have a chance with me”

nonetheless bc i’m the worst and thirsty for complicated plots after the vampire incident cora probs thought “did he rly hate me that much he’d send a vampire to kill me???” when in actuality sam does not hate her and actually cares smh. and now he’s trying to send her away again!!!! and now they’re just in a cycle of being snarky to each other all bc of a misunderstanding. bYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HEY JENN (⌒▽⌒)☆ so cora is lovely and here are my thoughts:

maybe josephine recruited cora? perhaps discovered her/took cora under her wing and trained her herself? I imagine josephine saw cora’s fire, recognised her bravery and smarts and thought she would train her herself. being able to play people and have connections are super helpful also. 

depending on how recently cora became a hunter, it even could have been the recent vampire she faced? if not, then perhaps she ended up involved in a hunt that josephine was on, since she tends only to involve people who are already a bit involved oops

either way, josephine could have been the one to come through for her on the vampire hunt, since she was betrayed by another hunter (”we’re not all bad”) if that works for you?? i’m cool with whatever, just brainstorming ideas x)

likes her forward thinking nature, respects her Realness™

one thing tho, josephine may be concerned that cora’s ego will hinder her/her aggressiveness may get her into more trouble than it’s worth. josephine basically wants all her hunter children to be safe basically, and cora seems so much younger due to her impulsivity, where josephine is the opposite

fiajfowiej ok so i actually had something written up for these 2 in my drafts but didn’t have a chance to post it yet cos i wanted to add more but!!! we basically had the same idea in mind!!! this is what i originally wrote:

so i’d luv for josephine to have been the one to “““recruit””” cora. i use the term loosely lol bc i was thinking maybe one night when cora was out late after insisting she could escort herself home from some society shindig she a) was followed by a supernatural creature and josephine was luckily there to save her ass or b) unintentionally witnessed josephine executing a creature. either way, cora would have begged josephine to teach her. to make her stronger. cora’s always been thirsty for adventure and has never felt being a socialite was suited for her. she just kinda played along bc it was what was expected of her ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

seeing josephine singlehandedly kill a creature would’ve been The Thing to make her realize she could be doing more than just listening to the rich nobs of society talk about their first world problems #1923Probs?? lol

they’re close in age but i imagine a kind of batman/robin dynamic? with josephine teaching her how to fight and kinda taking her under her wing. it goes without saying cora is undyingly loyal to her. if josephine ever needed her and called on her cora would drop w/e it was she was doing to make her way over regardless. i also feel like she’s more obedient to josephine than howard?? lmao

ajfoweijfw i have so many feELINGS for these two already <33 AND THE SHIT THEY’VE BEEN THROUGH/WILL GO THROUGH. i feel like just as cora was lucy’s first friend in england, lucy was kind of cora’s first real friend ever?? since she’s always travelling for “harrington appearances sake” (her code word for when she goes hunting lol) i don’t think she’s ever had many friends? or at least ones that last/stick it out/aren’t part of her hunting squad. plus she’s kind of a handful in terms of personality that not even her status or namesake can make up for lmaooo. most ppl probs try to socialize with her the bare minimum amt lol but if lucy were to make the effort to be friends w cora first, she would’ve defs appreciated the gesture and maybe that was the start of their beautiful friendship???? <333    

i imagine them at society events just like minding their own bizniz and then when something scandalous happens they just kinda look at each other and sip their tea hahah ya kno as shady besties do ;) 

also i luv that they kinda just Get each other and tho cora has many faces she hides behind i think she’s always been Real with lucy?? but there’s also that thing with her being interested in her bff’s fiancé lmao smh cora. tho no one’s picked up william (yet??? hello? anyone??) i was thinking some kinda feels developed after she started hanging out with the two of them a lot whenever she was in town and if anything it’s more the feeling of familiarity/belonging(?) and being accepted into their fold?? she’d never make a move or do anything to jeopardize her friendship w lucy tbh. cora’s loyal af lmao.

i’m literally screaming 5yrs later bc of that vid lmaooo i can’t belieb that’s going to RLY happen “oh shit” and sirens included jaiofjweofijwij 

the fact that henry pisses off 2 deadly hunters on the same night in 2 separate unrelated events man... honestly i gotta give props to henry for that lmao. he’s defs got a deathwish but you gotta have a lot of cojones to pull that off lol

so to summarize the events of that night (since we talked about it a while ago): - henry scams cora - henry gets into a drinking contest w howard - maybe some kinda showdown happens like that scene in inglourious basterds where **SPOILER ALERT IF U HAVEN’T SEEN THE MOVIE??** during the drinking game something happens (maybe howard’s cover is blown??) and they end up with their guns drawn underneath the table with no one else in the room the wiser and howard ends up shooting him in the leg (henry: not again) and getting away - fast forward to the dig and henry’s being introduced to cora (who’s already reaching for her knife) just as howard walks in all while london bridge by fergie plays loudly in the background LMao

kind of artsy fartsy, likes to cultivate a very forward thinking atmosphere

her family’s well-known in the high society circle for their partying skillz and have recently expressed interest/dabbled in the rise of ancient egyptian discoveries (partially her cover as to why she’s present on site)

she’s a nice person but she doesn’t let many ppl see the Real Side of her beneath her carefully crafted society image

ppl have to earn her trust/admiration or have known her long enough to rly get to know her
