For all of your fake cutscene needs, I present to you a template of the FFXIV in-game dialogue textbox and choice screen, available in both a blank png and layered PSD format.

They are free to use across the board, but I do ask if you could link back to this post so others can find the resource if they find it useful!

EDIT: Due to how popular this got, I also added the other dialogue textbox styles! And if anyone wants to play around with them and the other UI files I’ve made, I’ve made it all available in the google drive link below!

i'm approaching you because i'm shy XD , but can i know how you make your Screenshots so clear and like wow my eyes not getting enough of the details in your gposes so good whenever i try gpose it's always foggy and less quality am i missing something ? if there's website of guide for it please link ?

For the most part, I like to think my screenshots are clear/crisp for just a few reasons (and they’re all fairly obtainable for anyone interested in doing screenshots themselves!):

1. Whenever I’m taking screenshots, I make sure my graphics are set to the highest available options and that I am playing in full screen and at the best resolution. This by itself can help maximize the detail because you are screenshotting essentially what the window is containing — ie lower resolution window, more crunchy screenshot.

2. Shaders! There are so many filters and shaders that can help make things look sharper, more vibrant, or any other style you’re looking to achieve. Try out as many as you want and play with the settings to find what works best for the shot!

3. Post-processing. This is NOT required in the slightest, but I have professional training in programs like photoshop and I love doing what I can to help add little details unavailable in the game or simply to accentuate what’s already there.

I really need to update the theme for this blog, because I know the current one isn’t set up to let people flip through photos easily (and of course that’s a slightly important aspect of a gpose blog XD)

Does anyone have any rec’s or suggestions for a good photo-forward/friendly theme to use?

It's been updated! Should be much easier to look through photosets now while keeping everything slick and readable overall. Let me know if there's any accessibility issues I can fix!

Because I love making resources and have no sense of self-restraint, here's a 1.0 version of an Adventure Plate, er... template!

Right now it's fairly simplistic due to the fact that portraits (the thing that goes into the plate) are fairly complex of their own right, and there's already a lot of layers to contend with. Keep an eye out for the portrait template in the future and how it's used with this!

If there's any issues, or if there's something you think would be cool to have (even if it wasn't in the in-game adventure plate) please let me know!

Hello y’all I’m back on my bullshit and am slowly catching up to the last couple patches that I’ve missed (6.2 onward) and I’m hoping to try and update this template to have more content akin to what’s available in-game!

If anyone knows where I might be able to nab high-res in-game elements for some of the complicated plate items that would be awesome, otherwise keep an eye out 👍

Got to do a screenshot commission featuring some of my favorite things: memes, wols looking badass, and group photos with beloved NPCs.

…okay the last one wasn’t really a favorite thing since up until recently it wasn’t possible to do, but now that I’ve figured out how to wrangle the tools to get more than three character in a scene it’s actually pretty fun!

Either way, it features Lee (Hyur) and Lance (Miqo’te) and they were super awesome to take photos of!

hey, in the future past AU screenshots, what filter/shader did you use? is it a gshade one?

I’m not 100% since I’m horrible at keeping track, but I wanna say it’s a variant of a Johto’s Studio shader as I used them a lot around that time period. It’s likely tweaked from whatever the default setup was so unfortunately I can’t give you many details (there’s been several updates since and a computer crash last year lost all my settings) but it was definitely using gshade!

Some lovely folks recently commissioned me to recreate this scene from Spongebob with their characters (and maybe-not-Ardbert) after playing through some post-Shadowbringers content.

My commissions aren't technically open but I honestly couldn't resist a good ol' Spongebob gag.

Please appreciate the names I gave for the icons I had to manually grab from the game bc they're otherwise too detailed to try and make in illustrator without going crazy
