i believe that andrew would be rather clueless about most flirting towards him exactly, just because he will probably logically take it as her just being nice since she’s engaged to william. then completely turn a blind eye to it. in the situation of him actually developing feelings or interest, his way of flirting turns into more intellectual as he loves word-play as a way to flirt. i can assure you, he is not one to put himself out there for fear of rejection unless he knows it’s a sure thing. but just like lucy, he can be rather direct and honest when the time comes.

when it comes to his feelings for daisy, i don’t foresee him wasting too much time on it if he sees that she has an interested in francis. i’m not sure what lauren had planned there, but andrew will lose interest if he sees no good outcome. andrew might do some of the witty banter with daisy, giving off a little bit of the vibe that he is interested in at least talking to her. but i really think that you wouldn’t really be able to notice unless you knew andrew fairly well. i love all this angst! so hal and sam might notice and be like, “yo, you got the feels?”

do you ever foresee her trying to break of the engagement because of the money situation or will she go through with marrying him? x) 

okay, so I think don’t think that she’d realize that he has feelings for daisy, in that case, but I still think she wouldn’t think that he’d care about her in that way, at all, haha, so she’s not putting any hope into that at all. 

so it’s kinda a little hard to say re: whether or not lucy would break off her engagement, since we don’t have anyone playing william, but for right not, I don’t that happening???? I mean, this definitely all depends on how everything plays out so that’s not set in stone at all, but at this moment, I feel like she’d go through with it. I think she definitely likes and respects and enjoys will’s company a lot and would be happy with him, but I don’t think she loves him. I think she certainly thought she did, once, but I think she knows better now. 

That being said, she doesn’t think that he loves her either and so she thinks this is just a marriage of convenience for them both. And like even though Lucy’s since realized that she doesn’t love him, that’s not enough for her to break it off. I don’t think she wants to end up alone and even if they don’t love each other, sees her and Will being able to still be good for each other/be able to make each other happy. 

That being said, if she did fall in love w/ someone else who loved her back and she hadn’t married Will yet, I can see her ending things?? I do think she values love over position and wealth (I mean she does have a lot of money of her own, already, and doesn’t really need Will’s -- but ofc if she married the “wrong” person, her parents disinherit her??? depending on the sort of ppl they are??? I haven’t really thought much about them though, b/c I haven’t really talked with Lauren yet about the Fawcetts haha. but even if she would lose everything, I can see her still risking it?? She’s super spoiled but she’s still ready to dO THINGS and roll up her sleeves and get dirty, despite her privileged upbringing, so I think she thinks she’d be able to live w/o her parents money if she had to.) 

So basically, I don’t think she’d break off the engagement unless she found someone better OR if she realized that will loved someone else than she’d release him, haha.

ajfoweijfw i have so many feELINGS for these two already <33 AND THE SHIT THEY’VE BEEN THROUGH/WILL GO THROUGH. i feel like just as cora was lucy’s first friend in england, lucy was kind of cora’s first real friend ever?? since she’s always travelling for “harrington appearances sake” (her code word for when she goes hunting lol) i don’t think she’s ever had many friends? or at least ones that last/stick it out/aren’t part of her hunting squad. plus she’s kind of a handful in terms of personality that not even her status or namesake can make up for lmaooo. most ppl probs try to socialize with her the bare minimum amt lol but if lucy were to make the effort to be friends w cora first, she would’ve defs appreciated the gesture and maybe that was the start of their beautiful friendship???? <333    

i imagine them at society events just like minding their own bizniz and then when something scandalous happens they just kinda look at each other and sip their tea hahah ya kno as shady besties do ;) 

also i luv that they kinda just Get each other and tho cora has many faces she hides behind i think she’s always been Real with lucy?? but there’s also that thing with her being interested in her bff’s fiancé lmao smh cora. tho no one’s picked up william (yet??? hello? anyone??) i was thinking some kinda feels developed after she started hanging out with the two of them a lot whenever she was in town and if anything it’s more the feeling of familiarity/belonging(?) and being accepted into their fold?? she’d never make a move or do anything to jeopardize her friendship w lucy tbh. cora’s loyal af lmao.

I’m not sure how long the fawcetts have been in england but i feel like lucy probs had some good american friends if she grew up there but if she came over to england early on I feel like it probs took her awhile to make good friends just b/c of the way she is hahaha but yeah I need to talk to lauren about the fawcetts asp haha) 

ANYWAY I feel like lucy is always up for being friends with everyone (at least at first) and wants to socialize and get to know everyone and will give u the benefit of the doubt until she gets to know u -- so I can def seeing her making the first gesture of friendship towards cora and I feel like they were pretty much bffs from that moment lol.

but yeah I can def see where cora developed feelings for will while the three of them hung out a lot together haha and omg I feel like lucy has nO idea just b/c she and cora probably do share everything else???? I mean lucy is pretty much an open book most of the time but the few things she just won’t share with other ppl, she shares with cora haha. I can even see lucy confiding in cora when she starts to develop feelings for andrew haha (which probably makes things even more awkward for cora lol ~*~yay~*~)

Lucy drew her jacket close around her shoulders, trying to fend off the cold night air. The days were long and hot; while the nights felt like braving the dead of winter without the warm rays of the sun. 

She’d never experienced anything quite like this before. She knew going into this adventure that she’d have to do without the comforts of home. Part of her relished the challenge to prove she could survive out here just as well as anyone else, but there was still a part of her missed the warmth and comfort of her own bed. 

“Let’s move closer to the fire,” She said to Clara as another cool breeze blew through their camp.

“Are you warm enough?” She asked, “Sometimes I’m afraid you’ll freeze to death and not say a word about it for fear of inconveniencing someone with your troubles.” She teased, laughing. “Whereas everybody knows when I’m uncomfortable,” She joked, “I make sure to complain constantly.”

hi! so lucy is interested in andrew. 

so i do think she’s always been v flirty towards him b/c that’s just the way she is when she sees an attractive man, haha. but she certainly never means anything serious by that. she just loves to laugh and tease and flirt. also, when she really cares about you (or vice versa haha) she’s very blunt about it and will just tell you and I think she’s def someone to wear her heart on her sleeve. 

that being said, she’s currently engaged to william talbot so that complicates things a little. if will hadn’t been a thing, she would probably have just told andrew that she likes him, point blank, and let the chips fall where they may. but she would never do that to will ++ I don’t think she thinks andrew would ever think of her that way (i dunno if she knows/suspects that andrew, in turn, has a thing for daisy haha i guess that depends how obvious he is about it???). 

so yeah, I guess she really likes andrew a lot but won’t ever say anything b/c she thinks it’ll cause more problems than it would solve/doesn’t think that they’d work out anyway lol.

So Rick is def worried about all these unsuspecting “civies” running around and I feel like this results in a weird tendency to just sort of ~show up~ places.  Like, he likes to scope things out so you’ll be going somewhere you don’t expect anyone to be and…there you will find Rick smdh  I’m not sure what his exactly personal feelings towards Lucy, specifically, would be tho.  He’ll like that she’s prepared to get her hands dirty etc but if she’s too into it and getting herself into dire situations he will be stressed!!!! hahaha so yeah I guess it depends how gung-ho she is, really.  Thoughts?

but yeah, um, while lucy is def not as underprepared as she seems she def is kinda in over her head a little???? especially when things really start to go south haha. but that being said, i DO think that she’s a little over confident in her abilities to do things. like she’s out here with all of these experts and yeah she has no idea what she’s doing but damn if she’s just gonna be an observer to all of this haha. like she’s come all of this way hell yeah she’s gonna get involved. so yeah ... i feel like she’s pretty competent but that being said would probably still get herself involved in dire situations even if this was just a normal dig w/o the whole cursed mummy business haha 

I feel like she’d like rick tho!! i mean I think she’d roll her eyes at him and tell him to stop being so grumpy and to liven up but I think she’d be able to tell that he’s a good person underneath all of the crust haha

So I def think Margo will probs start out underestimating Lucy!!  Margo grew up in a middle class situation and I think she sort of thinks that the rich folks are just sort of handed whatever and, not having had to work for it, don’t appreciate what they have, yknow?  But I think once Lucy shows that she’s willing to work etc, Margo will be impressed and more than willing to give her a second chance!  All that being said, she may also be more favorably inclined towards Lucy from the start, if James has said anything about her, since they’re friends?  So there’s that too ;D

so I can potentially see james having said good things about lucy to her (but that’s really a question for tina haha) that being said, I can also see lucy and margo easily getting off on the wrong foot b/c she does kinda embody that stereotype especially when you first meet her? eSPECIALLY if they met in like a social setting or something prior to the dig??? b/c yeah lucy can def come off as spoiled and self-centered ... but yeah, I do think that it is easier to see that there’s more to her when she’s out here w/o the comforts of home, y’know??? so idk if you want them to have met and not gotten off on the right foot at first or if you think they’ve met while out here and became friends or something else???? 

I do think that lucy would generally like someone like margo a lot b/c she’s strong and capable! but if it was clear that margo didn’t like her I can see lucy being like “Ew” back haha so yeah. and lucy can def hold a grudge b/c she’s super stubborn so like if they got off on the wrong foot then I can see where they still might be even if margo realizes that she may have misjudged lucy???? thoughts???

Okay, so Lucy is going to marry Clara’s bro, William, so she and Clara obviously know each other! Idk what Clara would think of Lucy??? I feel like Lucy can come off kinda strong haha. She’s a wealthy American heiress who always speaks her mind (so she’s honest but also incredibly blunt) and I do think she can be a little wild and a little bossy, too, at times since she’s kinda spoiled and used to doing what she wants, whenever she wants -- but her heart is also in the right place and it’s not that she doesn’t care about other ppl, she just tends to think about herself first. But she’s also not above getting her hands dirty and while she’s def out of her element a little on this adventure, she’s not expecting to get pampered or anything haha. 

That being said, I think she’d adore Clara, regardless of how Clara views her. I think she’d def admire her sweetness and probably thinks Clara is one of the best ppl in the world <3333
