working on a new promo ... 👀
eurydice who has always, above anything, been one to run away. to want to run away. but then she meets orpheus and all of that changes. she has found something someone who makes her, for the first time in her life, want to stay. and yes, it’s scary, but for him she is willing to try & fail & learn how to stick around for once because there’s something in him that feels like home. only for poor circumstance & natural instinct to take her back to old ways, running away & having it be the absolute worst mistake of her entire life … losing the only person that has ever given her a reason to have even a semblance of stability and not just crave it … she thought she wanted survival but really all she wanted was a love to weather the storm w/ and yet she LETS HIM GO because of the self preservation hammered into her thick skull … i love her but also let it be known that i hate her
eurydice never has children, not even with orpheus ( i mean, who else? lmao ) ; she can barely stomach the thought of bringing another life into a world where such awful things can happen, where such deceptive people live, where people go hungry & that is how they die … in an ideal world, she probably wouldn’t mind raising a little baby with orpheus, but it just isn’t feasible. she can barely keep them fed, how on earth would she manage with another mouth to feed? the last thing she wants is for her child to live in poverty. even if their child would never worry about whether or not they were loved, eurydice simply can’t risk raising a child that might know how it feels to live for survival’s sake only. not to mention the fact that she probably thinks she’d be a bad mother. she’s not bad at taking care of things in a pragmatic sense, but the only person she has ever truly opened up to is orpheus and motherhood would be forcing her to a new plane of vulnerability that she simply doesn’t see herself ready for. ever.
part of the reason i let this blog die was bc there are so many other talented eurydices & i just kinda felt like i never quite captured her voice the way i wanted to ... but i just read the last thing i wrote here & lowkey im a bad bitch that shit was good
wait ok on the real tho should i come back to this blog?????
beep beep i still love eurydice

oh no, not miss @vandbaerer making me come back to this blog 👀
this user wants to lay down in a field of flowers for a bit.
sometimes the only safe harbour you’ve got is in the devil’s arms
some things i’ve been thinking about: hey little songbird, you either get to hell or to hadestown/ain’t no difference anymore and meeting the devil at the crossroads and selling him your soul
we really want to sit in hell w our lovers huh?
These flowers – proud and sad, like you, proud of being beautiful, and sad that everything is so stupid –

with the way most of us are answering ask memes now, please don’t feel bad / take it personally if i decide not to continue a thread from an ask answered on a new post! i’m totally open to continuing threads that are born from asks ( i do it all the time, duh! ) but sometimes i’m not feeling it / i have too many drafts / i’m busy / whatever. don’t hesitate in asking me about it, too, if it’s been a while & i haven’t responded & you were hoping i might!! in that case, i’ll either just respond or if it’s a lack of muse for that concept that’s kept me from responding, i’ll try to come up w/ something else for us to write together! :)
