I chose to make a puppet as a 3D extension of my ‘protest’ illustration project as a kind of miniature homage to the radical puppetry often used in public protests and marches (for example, the work of the Bread and Puppet Theatre). Puppets can be used as a vehicle to convey character, narrative, and often political protest in a grand and universal way.
