New print for Ukraine!!
This time I’m sending all print proceeds to Come Back Alive, an organization sending tech and other defensive supplies to the Ukrainian army to counter the new effort by the Russian Army.
These prints include domestic shipping and I’ve added the cheapest possible international shipping so I can send the absolute most of your donation over to Come Back Alive.
The images coming out of Ukraine have been horrifying and infuriating. I hope I can make even a little difference with the money raised from this print- for the future of Ukraine and for a better world.
Last time we sent $3,000 to Razom, which was amazing!! I’m hoping to double that- or more- by not limiting the number of prints this time. This way I can hopefully send a steady stream of donations to Come Back Alive, and to Razom, once Ukraine is in less of a defensive position. Right now Ukraine needs all the help it can get defending themselves against Russia.
This print is a little different from the last one, and a little more active in her defensive yet hopeful pose. It’s a Risograph piece printed in three colors- blue, fluorescent pink and yellow. I’ve added just a little bit of fluorescent pink to the yellow to give the field more of a golden tone. The blue is printed at 100% ink coverage so some, if not most prints have a little ink overflow mark at the top- something I think looks cool like water but want to be transparent about. There is also a line where the printer has picked up a tiny bit of that blue and run it across the white border. Again, just a part of the Riso process and what happens when I print the ink so densely, but I think it’s a fine trade off for how juicy the blue is.
I’m excited to send this off- it’s in my shop now if you’d like to pick one (or several) up! Also available for wholesale, just email me and I’ll send you a special code to get 10+ prints! THANK YOU! 💪🦋💪🦋💪🦋 (at Los Angeles, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ccil_s2u2HV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
