here is the crew from Paradise Island, and they are planning a new adventure, as they'll be travelling to Annecy this summer!! Along with some talented local creators, we got the opportunity to pitch our projects in Annecy, so if you'll attend, I hope you'll take a look! :3

~Fuku's luck was stolen when she was born and since then she's been forced to live a very nyanlucky life... But her curse might just be a blessing for the mysterious "beast" she ends up meeting. Together they try to clean the town from the luck-leeches that seem to be multiplying in numbers recently, and the duo sets out to find Lady Luck who might be able to lift both of their curses.~

been busy with work, but here are some sketches from the Nyanlucky universe! :3 I want to put together a short comic with them~!

Your designs are so recognisable, especially your silhouettes, do you have any tips on how you do it?

(I am working on my character designs)

hii! hmm, not sure how good it works but maybe it's because when I draw an illustrative character design, I don't always just think of a pose, but sort of compose the character to fill out the space. I work in a square format, and it's a fun challenge to crumple the character into that space in different ways, because just them standing around leaves a lot of space open, so I often try to make them move around, sit, use their legs to fill in the square. Also I really like fun poses with their legs, and I always want them on the picture, as well as their feet/shoes, because I like drawing those too. But still I often find myself making a more stiff pose first when I'm sketching and coming up with the character, and I just delete it and force myself to create something more dynamic. Also it's fun to use the character's personality within the pose, so like if they are more energetic, they can use their limbs more freely, but if they are more shy, they are more likely to hide their hands, shut their legs together, or stuff like that. But yeah, I'm not sure if any of this is useful, it's just something I prefer and enjoy I guess, but I definitely like more dynamic poses from others too and when they play with the perspective, I'm also trying to use that more from time to time.
