I've been really enjoying your comics, but I'm nervous to interact with any hp blogs on account of Rowling's...... everything, so I just want to confirm: what's your opinion on trans people?

I 100% support trans rights and do not agree with any hate that jkr spreads. I talked a little about my own feelings about creating fan work for her characters before and I hope this makes my stance clear. I think she’s a very terrible individual and I feel horrible that her actions taint the fandom and the characters.

Im really happy that you continued the Slythering!Harry's comic, I thought it would be a one-comic thing, now that I know you are continuing Im really looking forward to seeing how you will handle all the relationships. Like Ron being friends with Harry, Snape looks like it's not gonna be so bad, and I just want to see how he interacts with Draco. It's going to be crazy! Good luck!

I have many many plans for more pages yall, dont worry you won't be hungry for a while, I think I have the next... Six?ish pages planned out. I'm really excited to get to an actual multi-page story arc that I have planned after all the preliminary set up of getting the golden trio together, and I'm excited to draw more of my brat son, draco (trust he's coming back soon)

but yes! I really love the dynamic that ron and harry have, especially when ron's not being bashed and people aren't pitting them against each other. I guess we'll see this week or the next (depending on how much drawing I can get in with my exhibition coming up, sigh) how Snape feels about lily's son... :)

It’s built on data from white abled perisex cis men & reduces complex bodies to a single number.

The entire assumption that once you reach a certain weight you’re automatically unhealthy is untrue.

EDIT: I also wanted to add that BMI doesn’t even account for what percent of your weight comes from fat and what percent comes from muscle y’all. It literally labels folks who are “too muscular” as “overweight” or “obese”.

you still don't get it, do you?

it has never truly been about grouping us back with our assigned gender. that's an excuse.

it's about defining gender really narrowly based on bodies and presentation in a way that disproportionately affects transgender people.

"go to the bathroom of your AGAB" is a slightly more acceptable way to say "if you don't look exactly like we expect men or women to look, we're coming for you". it's absolutely what they mean, but if they say that out loud they know they're gonna sound absolutely dangerous.

they have never wanted transgender men and nonbinary people in women's bathrooms. chances are we go in there and get accused of being "biologically male" if we don't look "right".

it has never been about grouping us in with our AGAB. it's always been about excluding us from public life altogether, making sure we're not safe anywhere, always scrutinised.

they didn't "forget" that transgender men and nonbinary people exist. they just don't want us to exist either.

it's time to look at what they're actually doing and not just what they say they're doing.

I LITERALLY LOVE THIS COMIC SO MUCH, and no matter whether you choice dron or drarry because I know this is a debate your inner monologue is going through (im team dronarry tbh) I trust I’m gonna enjoy it either way

THANK YOUU im so glad people are loving the comic, it's genuinely the best part of my day when I get to work on it. I'm having a lot of fun molding interesting (hopefully) characters that have a special uniqueness to the AU. The best part is writing the character interactions and building their personalities unique to the AU. let me go on a small rant abt how I'm thinking about the bugs.

Ron is insecure, he's the youngest boy of thirty thousand children and was only really born bc his mom wanted a girl, Molly obvs loves him but he internalizes that feeling and that comes out as anger when he feels like he's being made to feel less than (like with Hermione in part 4, he felt like she was calling him stupid). But Ron is also incredibly loyal to his friends and as the token gryffindor in the harry/ron duo he has to step up and be the courageous one too (mayhaps we'll see how that impacts the story).

With Harry, he's instinctually self-serving(?) (with a less negative connotation, just that he's learned in life that he's gotta put himself first so far) and that's what puts him more into the slytherin house, where he grows into his connivingness/craftiness (again I hate the negative connotation but wordhippo is failing me!!) and doesn't play the role of the headstrong/blow-out-anger boy-who-lived that we see in the movies/books, think more sassy harry at his peak. He holds onto his friends tightly because of the obvious abandonment issues, how that reflects in the story... idk yet. I also like to think that he tries really hard to separate his life in the muggle world from his wizarding one, which means he's very resentful of when the two worlds start to mix.

Draco... wowowow, I have much to say about him. I think that he's acting like how the coolest person in the world acts (his dad), and thinks that bc he likes his dad, harry will like draco too and accept him as a friend. He's immediately rejected and then when potter gets placed in the greatest house of hogwarts (slytherin duh - draco) he can't really be seen bullying his own housemate (he has moral guys come on lol), Harry has enough self respect and also doesnt fw his attitude to not accept the second hand of friendship which forces Draco to kind of reflect on his... personality. I'm really excited to explore draco further in some future pages (already drafted!!) so I'll leave this incredibly long post here so I don't spoil anything and maybe I'll make an update when we get there
