As a disabled person instead of people saying "i hope you get better soon!" I would much rather here any of these:
"I hope you can rest soon."
"I hope you have a good day soon."
"I hope the pain lowers soon."
Saying "i hope you get better soon!" Sounds like "i have never interacted with a disabled person, i have no idea what to say to in this situation so i will say the thing i think im supposed to say."
We are not going to get better in the way you assume.
Be more genuine with us. Treat us like any other person.

I am so very very confused. Like so so so much. That wasn't planned. That wasn't expected. I'm already in the process of grieving my "abled" live, the life I had and the life I thought I would have, and now this? I wasn't ready for it. Being disabled sucks. I know it's disability pride month, but I'm not very proud of my disability right now...
mip is the current fronter refusing to leave our bed to use the toilets even tho we really need but they "just don't want to move"... the rest of us is very very uncomfortable and overstimulated by the urge to pee 😭

working on: my MBA, some book-editing projects for work, an artwork project for my mom's next birthday (sketching her favorite movie costumes)

current obsession: I can't say I really have an obsession at the moment. with the breakup and the general stress of the season, however, I'd say I'm pretty obsessed with how God has been sustaining me and how loving my family, friends, and online community are <3

Currently Reading: The Truth by Terry Pratchett (i have a book club where we're reading through the whole discworld series! I've loved them since my dad gave me his copies as a kid and it's been so fun rereading them as an adult and getting even more out of them! Gotta say though it is distressing how much more relevant the social critique in The Truth feels in the age of information overload and fake news etc. It makes me wonder what sir Terry would have written about it if he were still here), also dipping in and out of The Dispossessed by Ursula K LeGuin and With Love from the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa when the mood strikes me bc I get very restless if I dont have multiple books on the go haha.
Last Series: I've been watching Normal People with my beloved and the Rural Ireland vibes were painfully accurate to my experience growing up in a similar small town lol. He was hesitant to suggest it to me (he pre-watches a lot of shows we wnd up watching together bc I am incapable of not guessing twists and even dialogue before it happens) bc I normally get very frustrated by the miscommunication trope but the characters are so grounded and real that you can absolutely understand when they fuck things up and why.
Last Movie: I just watched Jennifer's Body (somehow for the first time despite watching many video essays about it lol). What a great watch tbh, we love a monstrous woman in this house.
Last Song: Doubt Comes In from Hadestown (OBCR) - we listened to the whole show on the way back from picking beloved and our friend up from the airport and we pulled into the driveway right as Orpheus turns around 😭
Sweet or Salty: Both, honestly. I love a sweet-and-salty combo like chocolate/caramel with sea salt or cheese with chilli jam. If I had to choose just one or the other though I think I have to go salty bc purely-sweet things can overwhelm me pretty easily.
Coffee or Tea: Despite my efforts even the best coffee tastes absolutely horrendous to me, it feels like ash in my mouth. Luckily for me I have no such problem with tea, so I have accumulated quite the collection and variety of teas. I also have a small vintage teacup collection to serve it in which is fun. I also *love* chai, matcha, and milk tea, so even if i did like coffee it would be an easy choice lol.
Working On: My PhD Thesis (Information Source Integration: An Investigation Across Reasoning, Learning, and Decision Making Paradigms - ew), a crochet bull's head for my mum (her specific request), a book of poetry for my beloved for our 10th anniversary next year (you guys can keep a secret im sure lol), and *maybe* getting a science communication substack/blog off the ground but it's early days on that one so we'll see
Favourite Colour: Gotta be green tbh. Nothing hits quite like a warm saturated green like moss in the sunshine. Also very partial to a burnt orange/red colour like old redbrick buildings.
Current Obsession: My garden! I've been having such a wonderful time watching it change as the seasons change from when we moved in in January. The apple trees are starting to blossom, there's bluebells springing up everywhere, there's loads of birds and squirrels who come visit - and I think a fox at one point? After living in a 3rd-floor city-centre flat for the past 7 years it feels magical to be able to look out the window and see nature at work. I probably need to grab some basic tools to help keep it from going too wild, but for now I'm just enjoying the show!

Currently Reading: A Choir of Lies by Alexandra Rowland, bc i'm slowly making my way through all their books whenever i feel i have the focus to do so 😅 i'm nearly done with it tho, just a few more chapters!
Last Series: currently following along whenever a new Witch Hat Atelier episode drops and in the meantime i'm also watching Steven Universe for the first time (i very much understand now why there are so many fans)
Last Movie: this one is actually way harder bc i rarely watch movies but if i remember correctly, i think it was Spy x Family Code: White? it was definitely the last one that made an impression at least, i mean the use of the chekhov's gun rule was absolutely genius in it, just an incredibly good movie thank god my sister got me into anime again
Last Song: Your Stupid Face by Kaden MacKay (look, i'm a sucker for musicals and this is like if a song wasn't from musical but still somehow sound like it did and i love it for that. also love the annoyances-to-lovers of it all)
Sweet or Salty: sweet! sweet all the way, i get such bad sugar cravings all the time it's a real mess, i just get pleasure from eating sweet things in a way that i don't with salty foods. i do have salty foods that i enjoy eating so much, and most of my safe foods are actually salty, but i know that instinctively between eating sweet things or salty things, i'm gonna go for smth sweet
Coffee or Tea: tea all the way!! not only is it a great source of hydration, but i also just like the taste and smell so much more (and i've discovered that i can only drink coffee with an ungodly ammount of sugar, so it's a rare thing)
Currently working on: animations in the retirement home i work at, a crochet blanket and embroidery a bunch of little things on my denim jacket. also, getting more experience as a bartender during voluteering nights to try to find a legit job doing that. (god please let me find a bartending job, i'd like that so much)
Favorite Color: either very light or very dark blue, no in between. they just looks and feel like comforting colors, i 100% would wrap myself in a blanket that are those colors and i feel like i'd be getting the best sleep of my life
My Current Obsession: definitely the embroidery i'm doing on my denim jacket 😅, i'm running out of thread quickly but i love the bunches of little roses i've already got on the back of it

Current reading: The boy and the girl who broke the world by Amy Reed, we're like 30 pages in so idk what to think about it yet (and i am not the one reading it so i really don't have an opinion on that one).
Last series: Which Hat Atelier (we got 2 fictives from it. how convenient.) But we enjoyed it, and we can watch it with the body's younger siblings, so that's cool.
Last movie: Le Rêve Américan, a french movie with actor Raphael Quenard. This one we really don't agree on. Personnally I wasn't there when we watched it, but I know some of us loved it and some of us hated it.
Last song: Echo by Crusher-P (good song about plurality go listen to it.)
Sweet or salty: This one is kind of hard to answer. I'll say it's a 50/50, some of us prefer sweet and some prefer salty.
Coffee or tea: None, actually. Water is good. I think collectively this is what we drink the most. Some of us like to put some strawberry or apricot cordial in it, and some ice cubes. But no tea, no coffee. Like never. Even if some of us do like coffee in the headspace, they don't like it in the body.
Currently working on: updating all our pluralspace info so that everything is actually correct for once but it's taking so much time. also trying to finish Level Devil but dyspraxia isn't helping the ragebait.
Favorite color: So the answer we learned to give collectively is purple, but we all have different favorite colors so there is no actual collective answer. For me it's fushia and peppermint (that's why my hair is that way btw.)
My current obsession: Collectively umh finding ways to deal with the body's disability, and communicating more efficiently (is that even a word?). For me playing every online game I can find (Amour Sucré omg loml but i've ran out of action points...).

unidentified plurality is being "raised" by "imaginary friends" of fictional characters your young brain has fixated on and decided will be more emotionally stable and available for you than your actual parents. but they're also around almost all the time (until they "disappeared". read: went dormant) and have minds of their own and also you get the feeling that you're neither in control of them nor did you ever choose to start imagining them.
This was somewhat how some members of the original system functioned. But instead of being taken care of, the host needed to take care of something, so the ‘nets formed. -Julian
