I don’t think people truly understand the scope of the damage Sony is about to do to physical media. They literally invented the compact disc. They are the reason why Blu-ray as a format won the HD wars over HD-DVD. They have gargantuan influence over manufacturing disc-based media. If Sony as a company stops making physical media for their next gen gaming consoles, this is going to affect movies and music as well. If you buy CDs, DVDs, or Blu-rays, those are next on the chopping block.

i feel like people aren't getting how dire ai is. we are running out of drinkable water. our brains aren't engaging as much with what we see and hear. people near data centers don't get clean water and experience electricity blackouts. it's being used to make pornography of underaged people and women. it often just lies. it affirms everything. it lies. it has made people kill themselves. it lies for gods sake. and people act as if im dramatic for being staunchly against it. 'now i KNOOW you hate ai and whatever, but look at this cute video' this isn't me being a new age puritan about internet videos, this is about the fucking earth and our future living on this planet. people are suffering now, people will suffer more, and my friends and parents will roll their eyes and think im annoying for despising ai so explicitly. we need to wake up because we cannot live like this

June 17th is our last day to raise $370, to save this young boy's life.

Ibrahim is 7 years old, living with his mother Maram and 2 brothers in Gaza, Palestine. On April 22nd, he was caught in an Isreali bombing that left him with life threatening injuries, that now constrict him to a hospital bed. He is scheduled for surgery on Thursday the 18th, but Maram's family is destitute, and I have been working to fundraise for the surgery money they need to keep Ibrahim alive. I am so incredibly grateful for all the kindness and help everyone has shown the last week, and especially 2 days, but the clock is ticking, and we cannot give up now, not when we are so close to success. This family needs us.

Maram still need's $370 to pay for Ibrahim's surgery. (Fundraiser linked here) (Vetted #575) and I'm worried that donations have started to slow down. Each person can only give so much, but that is why it is SO important this fundraiser reaches more, different people, who potentially CAN give. It's why I keep reblogging this post, hoping it might breach containment. I KNOW we can do this, if only we had more help.

Anyone who donates to Maram's campaign (here) and sends me proof of transaction, can receive art from me of whatever they would like. $1-9 will get you a colored sketch like the one above, $10+ will get you a full brush painting, which would usually be $50-60.

Sunday, June 14th is a seven year old boy's life saving surgery, and I am desperately begging for your aid to him, on his family's behalf.

If you're unaware, I've been attempting to help Maram, a 26 yr old Palestinian woman, as well as her husband and three children (9, 7, and 4yrs) raise money to continue surviving in Gaza in the midst of the isreali genocide.

Ibrahim, Maram's 7yr old son, was devastatingly injured in a bombing on the 22nd. His condition worsens every day, and if they cannot pay for his emergency surgery, he may pass away. As of right now, Maram needs to raise $1,100 by Sunday in order to pay for this surgery (her page linked here). Over the last week and a half, we have already raised him $900+ for this procedure, and I am CERTAIN with the right eyes on this post we can make the final stretch. I'm not sure what else to say. My efforts have started to lose traction, and It is imperative that this post breaks containment from my blog(s), now more than ever, to reach the people that might be able to help.

I am increasing the scope of my donation requests. For every $1-10 donated to Maram's campaign, you can receive a fully colored sketch of anything you would like. For every $10+, you can get a fully rendered brush painting, which would usually be over fifty dollars on my commission. I draw for fandom, selfship, OC's, even pet / human portraits. If you have literally ever liked or wanted a piece of my art, this is the time to get it.

Hello all, I thank everyone extremely deeply who has donated or shared this post where they could. Maram has messaged me to say that she has received a good bit of the money that Ibrahim needs, and now only $650 is needed to pay for his surgery! This is less than I anticipated, partially helped by all the wonderful people who have been helping this post reach more eyes.

It is now Saturday the 13th, and there is one day left to raise the money for Ibrahim's operation. Maram has not left her son's side, and is begging me and all of you for help to ensure her own child's survival. I have only received 2 art requests--Which is completely fine, I urge anyone to donate whether they want my art or not, but I am not at all swamped with work from this. I beg people to please keep donating and sharing as much as they can for my friend Maram. Even a dollar, even if it's just for art! It will make a difference no matter what.
