Am I the only one who never liked using "Y/N" in fanfics?

I mean, I know it literally stands for "Your Name" but IDK IT ALWAYS BROKE THE IMMERSION FOR ME😭 So me, I found ways to write around it.

"He passed Y/N the cup." ❌️

"He passed you the cup." ✅️

Another example being...

"I did it because I love you, Y/N" ❌️

"It was always you. Everything was for you. My heart, belongs to you."✅️

This is not me saying this is THE RIGHT WAY to write fanfics. This is just my opinion, and writing style.

I also REALLY REFUSE to use it because of this fucker😭

Just wanted to say I hope you’re doing well and I hope your days and nights are wonderful and HAPPY PRIDE MONTH🥳

Happy Pride month! I always forget how my country doesn't actually have an official pride month. Everything Pride related like the Amsterdam canal pride takes place end of July to early August. But I like that it's in June since this month is also my Birthday month!

As for how I've been doing, eh. Not great. The heatwave from like a week and a half ago really got me feeling ill. Me and my chronic illness are not made for the heat. Think it's time for me to invest in an Airco.

Writing hasn't been going too well unfortunately. The ideas are there, but putting it on paper is a different story. Plus, me and my writing buddy had a bit of a falling out and it's just not the same without them anymore. No need to worry though, we're rekindeling the friendship as I don't find it worth it to wreck my friendship over some minor issues.

Still hope to be back soon. Also hoping my new pills start helping me feel better so I can actually work on things. Fingers crossed!

I’m okay. Sorry for not giving any updates but I felt like saying once again that I struggle with writing would just be disappointing to receive as update on AO3. Loads of things happened including me and my writing buddy having a falling out and while I absolutely can write on my own, writer’s block + having a falling out with them kinda just made everything more difficult. Hopefully I can get into it again soon.

what inspired you to write ‘the bodysnatcher” back in 2023. It’s so peak.

First, thank you for your compliment! As for your question: I don’t remember it exactly, but I believe it was because of a game I watched a lets play off. Probably a game Manlybadasshero played. The premise was building the perfect body through stealing parts of others or something and that inspired me. Plus I had always wanted to do like a yearly Halloween story that focused on monsters and the like. Shame I wasn’t able to finish last year’s entry but I hope that this year I can post it on time.

It depends a bit on what you mean. Inspiration is totally fine! If I inspired you to write your own fic with your own story and characters than all I will say is please do share it with me! I don’t own futaxfemale stuff so of course it’s alright for others to write their own stuff. That just makes me happy. It’s part of the reason I started writing.

Using my characters is kinda where I’m a bit on the fence about things. In that case for me it’s highly dependent on what it is you’d like to write about. In general as long as it’s not disrespectful or involves men (unless you want to do genderbend stuff and make it gay) I don’t mind at all and only encourage it!

How does inheritance work in the Hagen family? Basically how has their wealth been preserved this long? Love the story! I’m very much a finance nerd :)

First, sorry for being so late answering, I'm just super exhausted all the time at the moment, sorry!

Well I think I should start off with mentioning that their (the main Hagen family) fast amount of wealth doesn’t go that far back.

Now Sonia (Viveka’s grandmother) was the daughter of a rich bankers family, so that’s where a large sum of their starting funds came from. But Ragnhild, her wife, came from more humble (in comparison) upper middle class beginnings. Her parents owned a successful inn. With some money from Sonia’s side of the family, they started their own inn, took over the original inn and those two eventually became a hotels and those hotels ended up becoming a very successful hotel chain. And that (+a lot of wise investments) is how the family became disgustingly filthy rich. 

Well kinda, because Agatha actually fucked things up when she took over. Things were genuinely not looking good to the point it seemed that the Hagen family would end up losing their wealth after only two generations.

But then Viveka took over, as a young girl no less and turned everything around. Because of this, the main wealth is solely Viveka’s (and Freya’s) as Ragnhild and Sonia were anything but blind to Viveka's competence and Agatha's incompetence.

This is also why it’s Viveka that’s trying to make Vanja and Aune work for the family as well, as not their father but Viveka is the one running everything and from a very young age.

But in general inheritance means once they leave the nest they get a respectable amount of money to build a life with, far more than the average person would probably make in tens of years. Butttt that amount is a lot more if they actually at least stick around to help the family business out. Now one important thing to mention is that a lot of the family outside of the main Hagen kids, actually married people with wealth of their own, this is also what allowed the Vautier family to get so rich.

How old was Viveka when her father started corporal punishment? And can you tell us why Agatha treated her this way?

Young, incredibly young. Agatha didn’t tolerate any failure and sadly it was also a way for her to ‘blow of some steam’ because of her poor relationship with her wife. Viveka became the victim of that. Viveka as the eldest also took the blame for her younger sisters so she got punished in their stead too.

If all things go according to plan, before the end of the year I should have a new laptop! It’s just waiting on bureaucracy and not knowing yet how much I’m owed that’s why it’s taking so long. But as soon as I got a new laptop I’ll post an update with my plans for the stories and the new year! I’ve got a bunch of stuff written down and ideas for the stories as well, it’s just not doable for me to write it on my phone. I tried, I did it in the past, but it’s just so hard so that’s why I haven’t had the chance to update in so long.

Yes they are. At first Emilie was mainly just annoyed but she is still a Hagen and thus didn’t really mind the whole bridal kidnapping thing. I mean it just earned Claudia her older sister’s respect so…

Ragna at least wants to get into politics but she already found her soulmate and she’s not going to do better than Holly.

Might do a side story since there aren’t actual any characters from the Hagen family that would 1: get into politics sans Ragan and 2: aren’t in a relationship.
