The worst scenario indeed. Lancelot becoming an antagonist isn't good.

Out of universe it's different. I think it's probably ultimately a good thing for the story.
It vastly ups the stakes, Lancelot is definitely a very big threat, and removes the one causing the stakes to feel trivial whenever he was around.
It also gives a chance for Percival, Tristan and Gawain to make that stupid big gap between them and Lancelot less stupid big.
Fight scenes at least are going to become a bit more interesting!

I love the irony that meliodas used to have the commandment of love. I mean, how much trouble did the commandment of love actually falling in love for the first time cause?
I don’t remember if there was a different canon statement on the relationship between the demons and the vampires, but I remember that the vampires were a weaker race that served the demon king and fought on the demon side of the holy war. Therefore I assume that most demons look down on vampires and this would have caused trouble for Gelda becoming demon queen, because the general demon population would look down on her and refuse to accept her. Except, that the alternative is much worse in the eyes of the demon population, because the alternative is Meliodas who married a goddess. Gelda looks much better as a candidate for queen of the demons simply because most demons are comparing her to Elizabeth. Gelda simply takes the win as the better outcome and Zeldris is annoyed that his lover isn’t respected for her own merit, but is trying to be pragmatic since, again, this is better than the alternative. I imagine that once demons get to know her and see how well she does in her role they will respect her more for who she is, but there will always be other demons who attempt to make derisive comments about her only to get shut up by an elbow to the side and a harsh whisper of ‘would you have rather had that goddess’

I was rereading chapter 235 of 4kota and did anyone notice this? Ysaye refers to Tristan’s grandfather instead of Father when explaining full counter.
this is either:
A translation error or general mistake
ysaye actually referring to Bartra or the Demon King, which seems extremely unlikely, but would be hilarious in a way
the story about Tristan’s parentage already got this garbled in 20 ish years to the point that even Tristan’s son doesn’t know the truth.
And I know that I have already speculated in a previous post about how little Ysaye may know about his own family/heritage, but I feel like he should know more. Everyone in Liones and Camelot knows by now that Meliodas the demon and Elizabeth the goddess had Tristan together and that full counter is meliodas’s move etc..I mean Isolde (presumably the mother) definitely knows this. So in the scenario that Ysaye is actually mistaken about this, why doesn’t he know the truth? Even if he never met Tristan there should have been plenty of people that know this shit. Who raised him? Who is he serving under as knight? If it’s Arthur then he also should be able to tell ysaye this stuff. I hope this is a simple mistake on part of the author/translator, because that makes the most sense to me story wise.

in the newest chapter it is revealed that ysaye is aware and in control of his demon blood, so we can forget my more dramatic theorizing about how aware he is of his heritage (I have one previous post with some wild theorizing about what if ysaye doesn’t know about his demon heritage) and I am continuing under the assumption that this is a mistake by Nakaba or something, which I was already planning on doing, but I feel like the newest chapter back it up. and I mean, I get the movie was about Meliodas and Zeldris' brotherhood, but I think It was only fair that the battle against her was at least Meliodas and Elizabeth instead of Meliodas and Zeldris, or at least the killing blow
having a homoerotic sword fight with my rival but then she starts talking about her ideals and i have to stop and pull out a thesis paper on the shallowness of her ideology and how weak her sociopolitical analysis is
How would the knights of the holy grail react to Tristan using is demon powers? The grail knights have (I believe) only seen Tristan use his goddess magic and are also convinced the 4kota are imposters. Between the existence of the druids and who even knows what happened to all the members of the goddess clan (are they back returned to their bodies after the cursed by light movie?) an imposter being able to use goddess magic is not unthinkable, but Tristan is literally the only being in existence who can use both goddess and demon powers so what would happen if he demonstrates that? It should be pretty solid, hard to fake evidence that they are who they say they are.
I have also made an earlier post talking about how ysaye talks about Tristan like he has never met him, so if that is the case we can also speculate whether Tristan’s son even knows about his demon heritage. But now we’re in the territory of wild speculation with no real evidence either way.
The Supreme Deity and Demon King trying to break melizabeth up with the curse but accidentally created something stronger than soulmates
They really did shoot themselves in the foot so badly. I mean has acting cruelly and setting yourself up as an enemy to unite against ever worked out strategically? But also melizabeth were not motivated to try to kill either the demon king or the supreme deity if only because they didn’t think it was possible, but the curse (and everything else they did) forced them to try.
Does Zeldris know about the origins of the seven deadly sins?
I mean in s1 the 7ds supposedly being a group of horrible criminals was a big plot point, but in s2 they were heroes again and Liones had much bigger problems so it wasn’t mentioned much anymore. Which is a shame because I thought it was very interesting, but also makes a lot of sense. However it does leave me wondering wether Zeldris ever heard that story or if he is under the impression that the 7ds are and have always been unproblematic heroes and defenders of Britannia.

2 things that I wish to see in nnt/4kota that I know are never going to happen:
Meliodas and Elizabeth fighting a group of enemies back to back and being so in sync with each other that it look looks more like they are dancing.
Meliodas getting severely hurt/almost dying and Elizabeth completely losing it in response (on a similar level to Meliodas at Danafor), because he has always been immortal and she never had to face living in a world without him
