Hey gang if you followed me for carapacians or homestuck in general i have some bad news for you
I have only ever read the intermission, i refuse to touch any other part of the whole thing and all of my artwork that is of homestuck is courtesy to @you-hate-time-travel being my bestest buddy i don't really engage with the fandom nor do i willingly draw it unless it's a gift
I just reblog shit in here and it's 80% robots and 20% horror
if you like my art regardless of what it's about go follow @nameless-headless
My main contribution to the wonderful @very-sincerely-yours-zine anthology, a comic on home, being with the one you love, and ageing into your best self. Thanks again to the amazing @haedraulics and @inevitablies for organising such a lovely project, and of course to everyone else involved for making it happen so splendidly! My personal goal for this short comic was twofold: to write something about an older Holmes who happens to be trans but which doesn't focus too much on it, and of course to finally let him quote Hafez as accurately as a period-accurate translation of Hafez would let him.
Physical copies of the book are now sold out, but the digital version will remain for sale indefinitely with all profits benefitting PCRF! You can also browse most works online.
my favorite moment watching granada holmes for the first time was in "the empty house" when holmes says moriarty let him write "the note you afterwards received" and hardwicke with his messy hair and loosened tie does that little conspiratorial face, and i was like "ohhhoooo watson framed the note!"
AND THEN THE CAMERA FOLLOWS WATSON TO THE MANTLEPIECE WHERE HE HAD INDEED FRAMED THE FUCKING NOTE.

Of course, the art serves you well.
I am sure that a timeline where you rip out my flux
is far more preferable to one where I crush your rib cage.
4-5
And though I do have my ways to thwart you,
your mastery means that there is only so much I can do.
Whether that is enough for you, is a different question altogether.
6-7
Because here is a simple truth, my dear rival.
Just as I am mired in what was,
you are forever haunted by what could have been.
8-9
No matter how many times you turn the clock,
again and again and again and again,
there will always be the possibility of a better future.
10-11
And you,
you just can’t let go —
12
— can you, Orikan.

the sad thing about orikan is that, by the very nature of chronomancy, he actually is capable of controlling everything perfectly to some extent. it probably would have been better if he were incapable, then he'd have to accept the fact that you can't control everything. but he is capable. he is very capable. he is arguably the best astromancer the necrons have. he can infinite monkey theory his way through problems by turning back time again and again until he gets it right when most crypteks would have been able to do it only 2-3 times at best. he has millenia of experience enforcing the idea that he is capable. it probably gives him efficacy, keeps him sane. but it also means that he'll never let go of the punishing expectations he forces on himself. he's in a time loop of his own volition. he made his own hell.
EDIT: turns out I've posted these before but we're gonna ignore that thanks jdjdjsjsj
Disney-esque drawings of Holmes (and Watson!) I did a while ago.
[ID: three digital artworks one under the other. In order:
The first: Three colored artworks of Sherlock Holmes in a 70s-esque disney adjascent art style. He's in three different outfits- his usual black three piece, his coat-top hat-big scarf combo and covered with his favorite knit blanket. He looks slightly evil in these, since he expression is very smug.
The second: A 101 dalmatians redraw of Holmes dancing with Toby in his mouse-colored dressing gown.
The third: A full body stylisation of Holmes and Watson in that same style. Holmes is tall and lean while Watson is short and round. /end ID]
