Captain & The Ice Princess
"Again." Juniper sucked in through clenched teeth forcing herself to get back up again.
"Juni, you need rest. You're hurt and you need to practice on using your..."
Juniper went for a surprise hit on Natasha only to have her face smashed against the floor mats and held there till she gave in. "I can't quit. Tomorrow I train with the group and Captain leads the lessons. Every one of his lessons I'm in he chooses to torcher us due to me falling behind... I need to practice'."
Natasha rolled off of Juniper sitting across from her laying form. With a sigh she watched as Juniper pulled herself up sitting cross-legged, head hung low in defeat. Natasha knew that this girl couldn’t help but try and push herself to please others, especially Cap. Ever since she found out he’s the one that pulled her out of her never ending cold storm. He however wanted nothing to do with her. Natasha couldn't understand what Juniper made his gears grind.
"I'm not changing my decision. You need rest, definitely if you have a class with Cap. You know how he likes to push his class." Natasha reached her hand out to help Juniper stand.
Juniper nodded her head dreading her fate for the next few hours. She knew that her body and mind would be tested tomorrow. Juniper was one of the few special people to have been picked to train under the Avengers to one day follow in their footsteps. She knew it was really a load of bull and that they really just rather have them all fight with them then against them. Honestly, it wouldn’t hurt to have the extra hands around as more threats arise.
"And another lap because our teammates don't know how to pull their own weight," Captain Shouted into the field.
The death glares sent towards Juniper's back seemed to bounce off her unlike times before when they would sink into her skin and wear her down like weights on her back. She knew now that it was more than her miss-steps that caused Cap's face to twist into a nasty scowl.
This time when he shouted for another lap she would stand up for herself. "Captain, instead of another lap, how about we settle whatever problem you have with me right here right now."
Juniper stood tall ready to fight in hopes to earn his respect. She had trained for this moment, and although she knew she had no chance in hell winning against him, she hoped that if she held him off long enough he could finally see her as someone valuable.
"Excuse me." Steve all but clenched through his teeth.
"I would like to earn your respect, Captain. Give me the chance-" Juniper started to explain but was cut off again.
"That is no way to win my respect. You are a student in this building and should learn and work on following what you have been told to do. We do not need hot-headed soldiers. If you continue heading down this road you will never make it in this place. I will not ever put my hands on you or anywhere near you. Am I understood." He spoke with so much power dripping with every word.
He took a step towards her and as if on cue Juniper's skin hummed with anger morphing almost blue and ice covering parts of her body. Shards sticking out of her back and shoulders. The control she's always practiced seemed to slip and everyone gasped in what she thought was horror.
"Yes, Captain." She growled purple eyes meeting the ocean once again.
Unknown to her Steve watched as her eyes warmed back to their normal brown. Her skin melted back to her normal caramel color and she seemed to gain control over herself the longer she looked into his eyes.
