it’s kisses on the knuckles and between the shoulder blades and looking at the world and seeing them in everything and looking at them and seeing the world in them and it’s the feeling of waking up in the middle of a summer night and reaching for the cool sheets and everything is hazy and perfect and it’s the first day of spring and a silence that’s screaming in tenderness and eyes and hands and hearts that understand each other more than minds do and it’s the absence of fear and the abundance of safety and serenity and it’s a lot and it’s everything and mostly it’s yours and it does you good it does you so good
