My dream scenario for whenever Doctor Who gets picked back up is that first and foremost, they make absolutely sure they can put some kind of conclusion on that cliffhanger and make sure that in the very least Billie Piper is available to do it to fix whatever that was, but in my best case scenario, also Ncuti Gatwa. Make up whatever you have to make up about Billie being there, I don’t really care, but do something that guarantees that we get to see Ncuti one more time in a proper outing with proper planning like he deserves. Something with the regeneration is very wrong and maybe he and Billie are going back and forth or they split apart (goodness knows we’ve got precedence for that now) or she reverts fully back into him by some point or he’s swapped places with her and is out there having to find her and figure out what the heck happened in the middle of his regen. I don’t really care as long as something facilitates letting Ncuti have a significant enough presence. Somewhere in this story, he gets to face the Daleks. Ideally you’d have Susan come in and we get the reunion that we were teased with. Wrap up whatever loose ends you’re able to manage before we start with a cleaner slate for the new era. Realistically, you’d probably have to have Fifteen regenerate for real now and the new team brings in their own Doctor, but if you want to be really really nice to me, work something out with Ncuti where you can absolutely promise him in legal writing beforehand that you will NOT leave him in the lurch while trapped in a contract, and schedule to film at a time that works for him where he can do at least one more season to wrap up with more dignity before he goes off to continue his growing career. Barring that extremely unlikely scenario, I refer back to letting him regenerate the right way. And no matter what, Daleks and Susan are required.
