All the parallels set up between Harvey and Mike (Harvey being a former failure Jessica turned into a success, “I’m looking for another me,” “Bringing in a client this young, you remind me of Harvey” ) combined with Harvey’s established narcissistic tendencies make it clear to me that he’s territorial over Mike’s genius much like he is territorial over his own. He was being honest when hiring— he desires another version of himself.

I think that in his current inability to care about and connect with other people, Harvey creates an “exception” for Mike, caring about him, looking out for him, and respecting him at the highest level he is able to — as a literal extension of himself.

Like in episode two when Harvey takes responsibility for Mike’s failure to file the patent on time, citing it as his job and his responsibility? So, so, so early into the series (I’m literally starting episode three right now) they’ve already begun to regard their failures as combined. Job responsibility or not, Harvey’s failure to appreciate other people leads him to consider Mike as himself — or, as his, — as a roundabout justification for appreciating and respecting him fully.

Looking back at the last three seasons of twd, I do wish they made Rick haunt the narrative more. I get that he wasn't really dead, and his disappearance did affect his loved ones, but I still feel like the writers could've made his "ghost" even more present. Survivors mentioning his name once or twice just doesn't cut it for me anymore. He should've been their Jackie Taylor.

just remembered all over again how this happened and then seemingly had no impact on their relationship because mike went on to ignore and dismiss Will for the next 2 seasons and they didn't even have the decency to put this moment into Mike's trauma montage that played when Vecna was being killed

I feel like the duffer brothers didn’t think about the story past season 2. Season 1 & 2 were so well thought out and well written but every season after that was a low effort attempt to keep the show going. Mike and Will had so much potential that was never explored. Instead, their relationship with each other is barely a part of the plot past season 2, when it was a significant part of the story. Its genuinely like the duffers forgot everything that happened in the first 2 seasons when they started S3.
