Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) dir. Frank Capra
If you haven’t seen this movie, it is ABSOLUTELY worth the time. Enjoy!

“I’m a horrible father”
THE BEST PART IS THE GIRL IN THE MIDDLE JUST SO DONE
AND THE FACT THAT THIS FAMILY IS MORE MULTI CULTURAL THAN A PUBLIC SCHOOL HEALTH CLASS TEXTBOOK
The girl in the middle is just like “Damn it, Dad.”
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, ‘If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is.‘

declaring “this is the bad place” every time you are even slightly inconvenienced is peak humor
It’s what Eleanor Shellstrop would have wanted
I was today years old when I realized that the Ryanair logo is not a 4 string harp.
One thing we absolutely know about Night at the Museum is that the museum doesn’t have security cameras at night.
“When the scientists of the future show up at my house with robot eyes and they tell me to try them on, I will tell the scientists to screw off, because I do not want to see a world without him.”
“young adult dystopian novels are so unrealistic lmao like they always have some random teenage girl rising up to inspire the world to make change.”
a hero emerges
And just like in the novels, grown men and women are going out of their way to destroy her. Support our hero.
And it’s not even like it doesn’t happen regularly.
Teenage girls are amazing.
Sometimes they’re not even teenagers
I’ve been reposting this a lot to argue with conservatives who wanna mouth off, but here is a Genuinely Good Addition. 💖💖💖
Reckless Love, Cory Asbury
i take constructive criticism but i don’t need it here because i’m right
“When I first moved here I was living with my uncle in Brooklyn. He lives in a Jewish neighborhood. I accidentally set off his alarm one night when I came home. I couldn’t defuse it. The alarm kept screaming: ‘Burglary! Burglary! Burglary!’ I was the only black person in the neighborhood at the time, so I panicked. I knew it didn’t look good. And I didn’t want to die in this movie. So the first thing I did was call 911. The operator was like ‘What’s your emergency?’ I told her: ‘I’m staying at my uncle’s house, and the alarm is going off, and I need you to tell the responding officer to expect a black man.’ And she said: ‘Is your uncle black too?’ And I said: ‘Ma'am, all of us are black.’ Then I fixed up a bowl of macaroni and cheese, turned on all the lights, stood in the middle of the living room, and waited for the knock.”

Um... pet appreciation post :) Terano- my cat who was once a tiny terror and now is super great.
Just taking a moment to appreciate my family’s giant dog. This is Gypsy, an enormous and very sweet mastiff.
