Important!
As of right now, I am going on a semi-hiatus until after the Holidays are over. I have a very demanding social/real life outside of RP and there are a million and one things I still need to get in order before the new year can commence.
What does this mean exactly? It means that I will still be around to reply to the threads I already have going (albeit slowly) and perhaps do a short ask!meme sort of thing/OOC interaction here and there, but I won't be discussing/starting any new threads this month. Please don't get alarmed/upset if it takes me a while to get back to you: I really love each and every one of you and am seriously liking all the storylines I've going on!
Barging into the bathroom, she pulled herself up onto the counter, legs swinging rather happily. She could see a figure behind the curtain, but that didn’t bother her, it was all part of the fun.
Her fun.
"Hey handsome…"
Death was supposed to be peaceful, eternity was supposed to be peaceful. Not so when you were a ghoul stuck inside a death trap with a bunch of other ghouls, all of which you couldn’t give a single fuck about.
Well, all but one.
It’d been wishful thinking on his part to hope for the girl of his dreams, his Hell and his Nirvana, to barge into the bathroom uninvited. His admittedly rather pathetic cries for attention had always gone unanswered before, so slitting his wrists inside the bathtub she’d died in shouldn’t be an exception. It shouldn’t and it wasn’t; instead of his bitter flower, he got a fiery redhead. Not the one wearing a sinfully short apron and suspenders, either.
Tate yanked the curtain back, annoyed, and gave Hayden a less than amused look, the razor still in his hand because he hadn’t gotten the chance to get started yet. He was completely clothed except for his heavy boots, which he’d toed out of earlier. He wasn’t a pussy, after all; he didn’t need hot water to soothe the sting of bleeding out.
“Get lost.”
angelusadfectu:
It’s a term of endearment that she calls everyone, no need to get offended. She’ll just nod her head slowly at the Frankenstein boy, stuffing her hands into her jacket pockets. She tries her best to radiate good, calming energy to those around her. She wants everyone to feel comfortable because that’s her life purpose. Emotions are her game.
She is an angel after all. She wouldn’t harm a fly. Unless said fly tried to harm her first, of course.
A large grin appears on her face and she’ll nod again. “Yes! Muriel.” Even though he decided against a hand shake, a tiny hand will reach forward to gently grasp his own and give it a little shake. She’s trying to get better at these silly human greetings! “Hello to you too, Kyle. So, what are you doing out in this freezing weather?”
She reaches out to give his hand a little shake and Kyle just looks down rather dumbly at their briefly joined fingers. He squeezes gently; the last thing he wants is to hurt her, and he’s aware of the fact that he doesn’t always know his own strength. When she releases his hand again, he casts his eyes back up at her face and smiles softly.
She’s nice.
Her question is a difficult one to answer. What is he doing outside, alone? And in the freezing cold, no less. Truthfully, he has the attention span of a small child at times, and someone had been careless enough to leave a door open at the wrong time. He’s been wandering for the better part of an hour now, waiting for his feet to remember the way back home.
“Got l-lost,” he tells her, the tips of his ears pinking because he’s embarrassed, “it’s c-cold.” Way to point out the blatantly obvious.
ohwicked:
The last thing Rowan wanted to do was make him angry. Or, was that the first thing? Her moral lines were so twisted and spun together, forcing what was right and wrong to mutilate and become confused. Slowly, the tilting her head to one side, her eyebrows furrowed together though a small smile tugged at the corner of her lips. “Well, I’m afraid you won’t find any of your friends here, stranger. In fact, it might be a lot better for you if you go.”
Such appalling manners! But the dark one knew it was better to push anyone more than a few feet away from her, if they valued their lives. “Go find your friends. Wherever they are.”
It’s a rejection if he’s ever received one, a clear way of saying get lost. The problem is that he doesn’t know where to get lost to. He’s quiet, eyeing her from the same spot he’s been standing in all along. Glowering, because he realizes he’ll have to admit that he doesn’t have a clue where he is. That he is lost.
“C-can you… help?” Asking for help… it seems like that’s all everyone ever does anymore; help him. Because he needs it, nevermind how much he hates it.
theblackviolet:
Was that his problem? Jesus Christ, she had no time for his pity party. She just had to bury someone, someone who had a unknown death and was stuffed in a toy chest and he was whining about not being alive?
"I said I would release you from your realm. I never said anything about bringing you back to life. Bringing you back to life would require a body, and since you died in the early 90’s I doubt you want your rotting corpse whereever it is. You’re walking about without being stuck in the house that should be enough for you. Now, I’m annoyed and tired, go haunt someone else seriously."
“Haunt someone else?” He chuckled, incredulous. There were a lot of things that annoyed Tate, but getting attitude from a witch who hadn’t even earned her stripes yet? That had to be somewhere in the top 10. He cast a look over his shoulder to her fellow witches, sisters, whatever. They were a decent distance away, and moving further still.
When he turned his attention back on Zoe, there was something dangerous flashing in his eyes. His hand shot out and he curled his fingers around her slender throat.
“Listen here, witch bitch. You think I’m haunting you now? We had a deal, and you didn’t come through,” he spat, calm in spite of the venom laced through his voice, “I’m not someone you just shrug off. Think you’re annoyed now? I’ll terrorize the shit out of you. Make your life a living hell, and there’s nothing you and your deadly snatch can do about it.”

Moira’s hazel eyes darted from the cup of mac n’ cheese that she possessed to the slightly bitter expression Tate was wearing. Interesting. The boy wanted to seem disturbing and mature, a tricky combination for any teenager to pull off. She leaned forward on the counter, just a bit to seem friendly, as she dug into the mac and cheese with her spoon, bringing the metal to her lips and taking a thoughtful bite of the hot food.
“Me too…”She murmured in agreement through a mouthful of spicy mac and cheese. She wrinkled her nose and swallowed, her eyes catching Tate leaving the blunt unattended. Two hits was good enough for her, she didn’t want the old hag noticing it on her breath or clothes—- plus she got tired if she smoked too much. She gave a derisive snort, “Mm, I graduated college in Iowa— that’s where I’m from originally. Cornfields and silos and all that crap.” She told him even though she quite missed the Midwest.
“I, uh, didn’t get kicked out. I left cause of my mother, she’s sick. Always has been since I was little and my Dad left us when I was a teenager. Only got to go to college cause I had extremely good grades and applied for a bunch of loans and scholarships.” She noted somewhat proudly, “But then my Mom got worse and I moved out here— wasn’t a lot of work I could do in Iowa. Lots of farming jobs and secretarial work.” She paused. The young maid didn’t care that she was telling Tate all of this, though a petulant teenager, there wasn’t really anything he could do with this information but tell his mother and Moira knew he’d only do that if he thought it’d get a rise out of Constance. How was a sob story leverage?
”I think I’m better than that but then I ended up as a maid, which isn’t much better. But at least I’m not at a hotel.” She wrinkled her nose in disgust, “The only problems I have are dealing with your messes and your mother.” She laughed, “At least I can predict what you two hurricanes will do.”
She’d graduated college on a scholarship? She didn’t get kicked out at a young age? Well, that wasn’t the sob story Tate had been expecting to get. It was sad, of course, that her mother was sick and her dad had bailed… but then, it’s not like she had any control over those things. All that considered, she’d done well for herself. Certainly better than he ever would; he doubted he’d even get out of high school unscathed. Another year at the most, and then he was going to say ‘fuck it’. No way was he getting stuck there.
“It sucks that your dad left. Mine did, too,” he told her, putting his lips around another bite of Mac’n Cheese just to have something to do with his hands. “I was six. If I’d have known any better, I’d have joined him.” He let out a humorless snort, eyeing her over his bowl.
“I still don’t get what you’re doing cleaning up after anyone. I mean, you’ve got a college degree, right? Isn’t that shit supposed to set you free?” A pointed brow, cocked. “Or are you an underachiever? Wouldn’t peg you as one, considering you got a scholarship and everything.” Tate knew an underachiever when he saw one; he was one himself. Moira wasn’t like that. What was she doing stuck in their house? It seemed like she had more potential than that.

x.—-The feeling of his hand rushing to her wrist to grasp onto it—rather tightly—was enough to make the girl gasp in pain. A flash of what had happened to her only a few weeks ago raced through her head, the memory of pain from the boys on top of her was enough to knock her off her game, just a little bit. She shook her head as he started panicking, barking commands at her that she wouldn’t soon be following. She wasn’t going to leave, not until she got what she wanted….she had come too far, if she backed out now she would look weak, and as though he could take advantage of her on a daily basis. She eyed him with distaste. { He had just rejected her. } x.——She felt him trying to shove her from his lap, but she refused to move, her hand slapped him hard across the face, “Don’t ever do that again!” She shouted at him, referring to the way that he had grabbed her wrist, nearly bruising it, “You will do this, you will fuck me, or else! I promise, your life will be hell here! I will make sure of it.” She had tears in the corners of her eyes, and she silently cursed herself for allowing them to form in the first place. She used to be able to get any boy that she wanted, but this one was turning her down, flat, and for some reason that hurt a bit. She had to pull herself together, she had to remember her goal here. It was to have the control, it was to be wanted, and feel wanted. { He was going to give that to her if it killed her. } x.——“I am not leaving! I won’t go anywhere until you do this!” She shoved her hand once more into his boxers, grabbing his flaccid member a second time she started stroking it again, determined to get him hard, she had to prove that he wanted this, he had to get hard eventually…if she played with him long enough. She was not going to give up, she was going to keep trying. “Stop fighting me! I know that you want me….you looked at me like you did!” She was spewing out words she knew wasn’t true just to try, and arouse him, perhaps make him doubt himself a bit. It couldn’t be that difficult, he was a foster kid, all of them doubted themselves. { They were worthless to society. } x.——The truth was Tabitha would have never been so cruel to him if it weren’t for her loss of status, she probably wouldn’t have even acknowledged his existence, but she wanted to feel whole again, ever since the rape she felt so empty, as though she was missing something, something they had taken from her that night, and she was going to feel it again, she was going to become whole, no matter what that entailed. “Please Kyle….” She begged, a softer side showing for a moment. { Her weaker side. }
His cheek stung and burned from the slap, the skin there steadily taking on a fiery red color. Though she was slight and frail, she’d put a lot of force behind the blow, and combined with her shouting it rendered him momentarily speechless and immobile. It wasn’t the first time he’d been hit, and he was too much of a realist to think it would be the last, but he hadn’t seen it coming. She wasn’t a burly drunk or a violent cokehead; she was just a girl. A girl whom he’d thought would be on the shy side with him, if anything. Clearly he’d misjudged her character, because she was anything but shy sitting astride his lap.
She was near hysterics, angry tears threatening to spill from the corners of her eyes and Kyle was terrified. Terrified of what she wanted from him, of what he might do if she didn’t stop.
“You’re upset!” He deliberately didn’t use the word crazy, though he said it as if he had, “I get that, but I didn’t look at you like anything, I swear!” He hissed through his teeth when she weaseled her hand back into his boxers and started stroking him once again. Though his complete lack of interest and the fact that he was mortified by her behavior made it difficult for him to get hard, he would eventually. It was just instinctual; a natural and uncontrollable reaction to friction. He was only sixteen; he’d gotten embarrassingly hard for less attractive people before, against his will and unbidden. He feared the same would happen now, and that she’d get the wrong idea.
“No,” he groaned, yanking her hand back out of his boxers despite her having ordered him not to do it before. “Would you fucking stop this?” His jaw was set, his eyes determined. He wasn’t going to let her touch him, he didn’t care how badly she needed it. The pleading did nothing whatsoever for him, where it would have usually invoked pity. She’d hit him and she was molesting him. She didn’t deserve his sympathy.
“I don’t know why you’re doing this,” he started, softer though he really should be shouting, “you’re a pretty girl, you can find someone who wants you easily… but that’s not me, alright? I’m not into it.” Now get out.
angelusadfectu:
She is relaxing. He doesn’t feel threatening to her at all. Threatening to others, maybe but she was no simple human. She was an angel, she couldn’t be hurt so easily. She was frail looking, tiny. She didn’t look like much, but she could pack a punch. She’ll take one step forward, tilting her head with curiosity.
Madison? No, no. Doesn’t ring a bell. Probably one of those gosh darned doppelgangers.
”It’s okay—-…I’m sorry. I’m not Madison. I’m Muriel. Who are you, duckling?”
“Kyle,”he says immediately, nose wrinkling a bit at the term duckling. He’s not a duck; he’s a boy, even if he’s not all there and… and… haphazardly stitched together. He also seems to have forgotten that it’s not okay to hand out your name to just any random person, but she looks familiar –even if she isn’t- and there’s something about her he likes.
A kindness, perhaps, something deep-seated and inherently good.
“M-Muriel,” he tries, and it comes out surprisingly easy. There’s a smile tugging at the corners of his lips, one that's usually reserved for Zoe alone. “Hel-lo.” Kyle goes to extend a hand but thinks better of it halfway through and rather awkwardly lets it fall back to his side.
angelusadfectu:
”Do——you always just go up to random girls and touch them like that?” This boy’s energy was different. He was——…dead? After looking at him more closely, he noticed the scar around his neck. He was just a bunch of pieces. Poor thing.
“I didn’t mean to yell—-…I just don’t like it,”
He vehemently shook his head no, holding his hands out in front of his body in an attempt to make himself look less threatening. He had a decent amount of pounds and inches on her, and he’d just touched he uninvited; the last thing he wanted was for her to feel uneasy… though it did seem as if she was calming down already.
She didn’t like to be touched. They had that more or less in common.
“Sorr-y,” he managed again, “t-thought you…were… Madison.” Too late he realized that she probably had no clue who Madison was, Stupid, stupid, stupid.
“You just popped my bubble!” She’s talking of her personal bubble, obviously. “Hasn’t anyone ever taught you any manners?!”
Kyle’s sorry; he didn’t mean to. She just looks so much like Madison, is all. Although peering closer at her now, it’s rather obvious she’s an entirely different girl. Way to not only make yourself look stupid, but feel like it, too, Kyle.
”S-sorry.”
hisinferno:
”—…”
And that—was his face, wasn’t it? He can’t even bother to bring Andromeda back to his heels—because he’s too caught on the fact that the stranger before him holds his face, holds Blue’s face. But he isn’t Nico, nor is he Blue—he’s someone else entirely, a boy capable of few words—a boy who didn’t even seem like he was a boy. After all, there was a certain frigid energy that clung about his body—he wasn’t whole. There was something missing within him, and that only leads Nico to advance forward as Andromeda warms to the boy.
With the face of her master—it’s not a surprise. The Hound yips happily, bathing the stranger’s face with a warm tongue—surprising, how she could go from absolutely terrifying to terribly dog-like in a matter of moments. Nico never minded it. He himself was able to shift through different forms—such were the powers that came along with the gift of his rebirth. To be able to shift into the form of a mangy but served as useful. These hounds were for collecting souls, in the end—but somehow, he suspects that there might not be a soul to collect, here.
”—Who are you?” Nico demands, soon lowering himself to his haunches and squinting at the boy with a frown.
Kyle’s only too happy to let the dog nuzzle at his cheek and slobber all over him; he doesn’t mind the mess in the least. As a matter of fact, the more enthusiastic the dog gets, the wider his smile, until he’s full on laughing and wrapping his arms around the mutt’s neck. Cuddling with a hellhound probably isn’t very high on the average person’s to-do list, but it seems to work for him. Though he’s not as stupid as he appears and not the overgrown man-child or brainless sex toy he’s been taken for before, there’s still something very innocent and boyish about him. He’s distracted easily. In this case, by the dog, which is demanding so much of his attention he can’t really focus on the boy who looks just like him.
Not until said boy’s lowering himself down to his level, anyway.
Kyle just stares for a moment, dumbstruck, until he finds his voice. “Kyle,” he croaks, “you… you’re not Kyle.” But you look like me. He’s still petting the dog, idly, but frowning at the other boy. It’s not like they’re identical; there are still definite differences between them, but his face… his face is so much like the one he’d see in a mirror.
ohwicked:
It had taken her a few minutes to notice him, bringing the mouth of the bottle to her lips again as she took a deep swig. Her focus on been on the golden liquid in front of her, and finishing it off so she could be numb again. Thin brows rose in surprise as the young girl somewhat mocked him, tilting her head to one side. “Are you lost or somethin’? I know it may not look like much, but the homeless shelter is actually down the street.”
Just because he's a little slow and not all there, doesn't mean he doesn't understand what people say. They think he's an idiot, a monster, and now he passes for a homeless person. Such a far cry from the aspiring engineer he once was. It makes him sad.
Makes him angry.
"Not...lost," he manages, jaw set. He is, of course; he doesn't have a clue where he is, or where to go next, but he knows it's not a homeless shelter. "looking for..." what does he call them? Zoe, the girl she bears a striking resemblance to, Madison who's like him but not entirely? "Friends."
— Time to take a shot to fight back impending misery.
{ We’re not sharing. }
Watches from a safe distance, head cocked, curious. Don't ask him how he got here; he doesn't remember exactly. Someone left the kitchen door open and well...
He remembers drinking, the act of it, being so fed up with everything you just say "fuck it" and start pouring. This looks an awful lot like it.
"And the best part is, I’m not even sorry." - Tate.
"That would be quite frightening to hear..if I didn’t already know that. People like you Tate aren’t sorry for anything they do and making myself believe otherwise would make me foolish"
"I think you appreciate someone who would rather speak their mind rather than trying to mask you with unnecessary discussion, so we’re bonding in our own way or at least I thought so. Would you like be to retreat back into willing psychiatrist?" Oliver questioned, curious as to what his reply would be. Perhaps he had judged him wrong and that is what he wanted, but they shared a lot of traits and there hadn’t been doubt in the doctor’s mind that this is what Tate wanted to hear.
Tate considered the other man's words for a minute. On one hand, it was clear that this was just another way for Dr. Thredson to avoid any pesky questions he may have -and he had a lot. On the other, he wasn't entirely wrong. Willing psychiatrists were boring; he'd know, he'd had a lot of those already before ending up in the man's office. Tate sighed and let himself fall back against the couch, his lips pursed.
"Fine. Go on."
theblackviolet:
Just as she was about to reach the steps she felt a poke on her shoulder, causing her to turn around and see it was still that Tate guy.
Why was he still there?
He was out of the house…which meant the spell must have worked why was it a bust? Was getting out what he wanted to begin with?
Why was he still bothering her?
"What are you talking about? You’re out the house."
She didn’t look all that happy to see him; good. He didn’t want her to get comfortable and think she was going to get off that easy. A deal was a deal, and she hadn’t delivered. Not entirely.
“Uh yeah, I’m outta the house,” he told her, duh, “but I’m still toast. Dead. Ghost status.” As if to prove his point, he disappeared right in front of her eyes and appeared on the other side of her.
“Now I thought you promised to deliver me from the realm I was stuck in. That realm’s a whole lot bigger than the house. What gives?”
