I am an alter in a system who has been around for several years and just discovered Charlie the other day and was shocked at how much (barring having a lot of scarring but no facial hair) he’s a spitting image of me. Especially the image of him snarling bound in the muzzle. I have always struggled to depict myself in a way that doesn’t piss me off, so scrolling though the Charlie tag was wild to see.
I hope this message is not too strange. I love the character concept quite a lot and you are a very talented artist.

That's very sweet and not strange at all! It's really lovely to know that people see themselves in my art. Charlie is kind of a uniquely good character for that, he's very relatable for some reason. Well maybe because I used his character to explore a lot of very specific experiences and ideas both personal and not.
He's also sort of a personification of my journey to realizing I'm trans at this point. His character really helped me understand that about myself even when it was difficult and painful and when I didn't know why. So he holds a really special place in my heart, it's v nice to know that he's special to other people too.
He's somehow become just generally a comfort character that represents a lot of idk identity and self image stuff :))
