There are some cave paintings that look as if someone held a child's hands to guide them in applying paint to stone
Oat milk was discovered much more recently than you may have known. Like many now-familiar technologies, it was found by accident during the Apollo program when NASA learned what a zero-g environment does to goat milk.
What if we defunded public transit and closed malls and raise the cost of fast food and made sure that summer temperatures hit record highs and that winter temperatures hit record lows and reduced the purchasing power of minimum wage jobs so that it’s harder for kids to buy cars? Would these be ideal circumstances to make it illegal for teens to socialize with each other on the Internet?

sometimes the author’s barely disguised fetish is YOUR barely disguised fetish and has nothing to do with the author at all
hey so a bunch of people have taken this post as an opportunity to decry interpreting media sexually/suggestively at all and it’s pissing me off. joining the war on eroticism on the side of eroticism. #ThatCigaretteIsAPenis
“fits like a glove” as if a glove has ever fucking actually fit
penelope bringing up the sea peoples out of nowhere with literally no proof within the movie that the sea peoples are even happening was nolan’s characterization at its most innovative. they cut the scene where telemachus pleads with her to get off youtube shorts
You know how when you're really thirsty you drink some water and then you're like ahhhhhhhh, yeah, that was just what I needed. That sounds vacuous but I mean about how in that moment you're suddenly very aware that all drinks apart from straight-up normal water are mere toys, and water is all you really need to drink, water is the one true object of all the thirsts you've ever thirsted and ever shall thirst. It's just what you need. Well basically I really wish that same thing existed for food, I guess I'm fine with the endless variety of food that exists, it's allowed to exist, but there should be one perfectly basic food substance underlying them all that always feels right to eat when you're hungry, that just gives uncomplicated reliable hunger-satisfaction and is actually the correct answer to "what should I eat". I'm pretty sick of the fact that you have to actively vary the food you eat and try to have a healthy balanced diet, I'm even sick of having to figure out what foods I like and preferences and cravings change randomly and stuff like that. I want one food. Water is so good.
> Get into color grading
> realize every screen displays color slightly differently
> realize every camera captures color a little differently
> realize every format and image editor translates color
> realize every printer deposits ink differently
> realize every kind of paper accepts ink differently
> realize colors look completely different under different lighting conditions
> ok I'm going to do everything greyscale now
> black density changes as ink cartridge depletes and depending on viscosity after multiple prints
> "what color white are you using"

It's so funny to me that they only ever eat meat and drink wine in the Odyssey. Imagine a modern adaptation where their exclusive diet is gold leaf, caviar, and champagne. Everyone in both stories is constipated
