An elderly Polish lady told me the other day that I can hold onto my faith in the world these days by remembering that Poles have been involved in a great many terrible things happening to them and staunchly refusing to die for centuries possibly in part purely to piss off their enemies, and that as a person of Polish extraction that blood runs in my veins too. 😄🥺 It was humorous yet accurate, and also weirdly fortifying to get this pep talk from a tiny old lady that was basically like “oh, everyone’s always trying to kill us. Pfft. The bad guys win the days sometimes, but their victories aren’t enduring. Everything can always change.”

Urgent Plea: Help My Family Escape the Perils of Rafah
As they make the decision to enter Rafah today, the danger continues to loom over my family. Every moment is uncertain, every step fraught with peril.
The decision to enter Rafah, despite the risks, is not one taken lightly. My family's safety hangs in the balance, teetering on the edge of uncertainty with each passing minute.
The relentless cycle of violence and turmoil that grips Rafah has left my loved ones vulnerable and exposed. The threat of harm lurks around every corner, casting a shadow of fear and anxiety over their lives.
With each passing day, the situation grows more dire. The need to escape this hellish existence becomes ever more urgent. My family's future hangs in the balance, their fate uncertain as they navigate the treacherous terrain of Rafah.
I implore you, from the depths of my heart, to help my family escape this nightmare. Your support could mean the difference between life and death for them. Together, let us rally behind them and provide the assistance they need to find refuge in a safer, more secure location.
Please, help my family find sanctuary away from the horrors of Rafah. Your generosity and compassion can make a world of difference in their lives. Time is of the essence, and every moment counts.

Hello everyone, After much contemplation and hesitation, … Mahmoud AlTibi needs your support for Rescue Mahmoud's Family: A Call to Esca
Madleen replied to me at last 😭 I was so worried. She said they moved to her aunt's house in Deir al Balah 😢😢😢 I hope they are still able to cross to Egypt, they were literally just waiting for their papers to be processed. May the zionist entity fall soon god. Still no response from Yousef and Mohamed. I tried contacting Layla Ashoor, but I don't think she's seen my message yet.
Mohamed replied to me just now as well thank god. He says they are fine but that the situation is bad and they don't know where to escape. Please keep donating to their fundraisers so that whenever they start letting people through again these families can finally escape to Egypt:
