We give some takes on Movie Pass -- we’ve learned HOW to do it, how to use it. 

Also, the 90′s movie The Flintstones indisputably GREAT. Iconic John Goodman role, directed by Spielberg. It’s on netflix! 

Without further ado: OUR SUMMER WATCH LIST:

Solo: They’re excited to see it! Megan thinks it’s gonna be great. Lindsay’s thinks, “it’s a Star Wars movie, it’s gonna be great.” Don’t be a purist, let go and just have fun and let yourself feel wonder. And Megan think the star is handsome. 

Jurassic World: Both love dinosaurs and both like Nick Miller. They reminisce of the last Jurassic World and the gruesome death of the babysitter.

Oceans 8: This could be a good double date movie! Cocktails and Mocktails after! Really fun, strong woman’s cast, I mean, WOAH. Lindsay hopes Anne Hathaway wears some red in it.

Deadpool: Lindsay didn’t see the first one. Megan has fallen asleep in it twice now. This is more of a “maybe” for HOT CHEESE.

Book Club: A great older lady flick that is a good one to go with your girlfriend or by yourself!

Overboard: Megan and Lindsay will be seeing this one together. There are some holes in the original that don’t hold up to today.

Tully: Megan’s terrified to see it but also love that its modern day motherhood. Kleenex will be brought.

Crazy Rich Asians: No white people, that’s fun!

Mamma Mia (Megan's thoughts - the Mama Mia song canon): Lindsay will probably see it by herself cuz she saw the first one by herself too. Megan isn’t going to see it because Meryl isn’t in it and the songs are going to be deeper cuts. Lindsay’s about the deep cuts!

Infinity War: Will they see it. Fast forward lindsay has seen it since this episode recorded.

Christopher Robin: Lindsay’s not sure about a grown man reuniting with Pooh. Megan wont see this till she’s seen Paddington.

Disobedience: Not sure if theyll see this because it doesn’t sound as fun as the other movies. Maybe too serious for the summer for them.

Episode 3: Floating into PJs

What a relaxing episode! Megan shares about her first time in a deprivation tank and her soft new jammies she bought this week. Meanwhile, Lindsay’s doing some hikes in the snow and having jean wedgies. Come for the usual HOT CHEESE fun, stay for the exciting new weekly segment!

Megan was a JUROR. For the second time. And she wasn’t happy about it, but eventually ended up liking it. Lindsay’s jealous she’s never been a juror, she’s been summoned but never responded...Megan liked watching the lawyers work.

Megan went to Float On. Her experience was mixed both positive and negative, some of that could be on Float On. Maybe they need to work on their decor: 

Lindsay’s float experience was great! Bought a groupon where she got a float, scrub, massage, lunch, and a bottle of wine...winning! Not sure if she’s sold, was sore after, like it loosed her up too much.

BINGE / FAVES

Megan doesn’t care about Lindsay’s cause and bought some pajamas from Target. They are cute and comfy and just scream summer nights and Sunday mornings reading the paper.  Plus they’re quite accommodating in the midsection. Linday’s gonna find her own PJ’s –– somewhere else...

She’s also finished the show, Killing Eve, and wants you to watch it. If anything, it’s worth a watch just for the BBC ads!

Lindsay bought some fun jeans called Wedgies! No picture you’ll have to find her wearing them in the wild. She feels good about their sturdiness. Levi’s is sustainable, it tells her about it on the label on the inside. Linds may go back and get the Mom jean...stay tuned. She also started a run club on Wednesdays at work. Basically, Lindsay’s just getting out there and leaning into the running culture of Portland.

Episode 2:2 - Nesting

First up, though -- Portland’s Shamrock Run. Worth the registration fees? Megan remain skeptical (and rogue) - but still ran, with Lindsay who “adopted” her bib.

Megan’s new thing is that she is growing a human, this year - and preparing for its arrival over the coming spring and summer months -- by making a bunch of space, and giving a way a LOT of stuff. 

Also she got a free bassinet. What’s a bassinet you ask? It’s purpose is some place to put a very small baby when they’re still sleeping in the bedroom - or co-sleeping - so it sits next to the bed? We think. 

Megan’s bassinet doesn’t look like that. 

Speaking of free stuff, how much furniture has been purchased vs. inherited/handed down? Megan and Otis are passive furniture people, lots of used stuff, but maybe that’s cool! Is it worth the money curating a perfect space or let go and just take what’s given to you.

Megan and Otis are considering the Konmari Method to deal with all their STUFF.

Also, ALSO - donating a mattress, even a nice one, is weirdly hard. Otis and Megan successfully donated one to Community Warehouse in Portland.

Big stuff this week guys, it’s our 10th episode! This week we are graced by a very special guest, Ryen Salo. Lots of laughs on this one as we discuss “Ryen’s Firsts” and share our own.

First things first, it’s Burger Week in Portland! So of course we discuss Ryen’s first burger which was at a dining establishment near and dear to my heart - Red Robin aka The Dirty Bird. What better way to pop your burger cherry than with bottomless fries and a freckled lemonade!

We continue to move back in time to Ryen’s first time getting drunk. Picture prefunking on vanilla vodka in your girlfriend's college dorm room and washing that all down with rum and coke. Megan learns to drink from her abuela while my first time includes lots of Mike’s Hard Lemonade on an elementary school playground - guys, it’s cool.

Remember the first time you saw sleeping beauty? Well, Ryen saw a different version growing up. This final segment we discuss when we realized our parents, moms specifically, lied to us. We also discuss how we learned about sex and body changes. Puberty stuff!

Episode 9: #nofilter

Just going to say it; this may be my favorite episode thus far: This week “in-studio” aka, Paul’s office at Graybox, we had a return guest, Mary-Anne Musick. This conversation is all about how we approach social media, mostly Instagram, and how we shape our online personas. 

Mary-Anne, voted “Most Photogenic”  is a wife and mother of two (darling) kids, and finds a lot of joy and inspiration in instagram, but it can often be overwhelming in its depiction of others’ lives, and finds it can be helpful to take a break from the app. 

This is her favorite of her recent IG photos. Because love. 

My (Megan’s) *thing* was that she’s got a lot of friends with kids, and a lot of friends without kids or marriages, and is there room on Instagram for someone between kids, and a party lifestyle. I JUST DON’T KNOW.

Lindsay is part of a cause: KEEP TAHOE BLUE. Lindsay doesn’t know if there’s room for someone on IG who isn’t “fully launched” but rather, on the tarmac. And generally isn’t on social as much anymore, but she does love staying connected to friends.

Lindsay: has NOT been watching Cheers. Watching Gypsy on Netflix, but doesn’t think it’s great, kind of likes Ozarks, on Netflix as well... and watches a lot of HGTV.

Episode 7: You live where you live.

GUYS! Welcome to SUMMER of ‘17! 

We’re back after a hiatus (aka Lindsay’s sabbatical - she had one too!). This is basically what we’ve been doing for the last 6-7 weeks; Lindsay moved to San Diego for an “adult study abroad” and Megan... painted her living room, and got rid of a couch -- and the story about that is about 17 minutes long. Casual.
