So, with the last update to sonic frontiers releasing, here's some stuff that could help you that the game just.. sorta forgets to tell you!
During Button Mashing sequences, you can spin the stick instead of mashing Square/X if your on controller! Mashing square at the same time is even faster!!
While fighting The Knight, you can dodge to the side mid-combo to target him directly, skipping the shield surf. This also applies to the final final boss, when you're having a hard time trying to attack a certain something on the back of the boss's head.
You can dropdash! it was in the game before actual spindashing was a thing! not nearly as fun and kinda op as regular spindash, though..
I know this might be super well known, but might as well; drawing an infinite loop with cycloop gives you temporary infinite boost! Using this with tail's cyclone is basically giving the biggest middle finger you'll ever see in a sonic game towards platforming. average tails W.
for the trial on tower #2 (snake trial), bait the giant metal discs out, and attack the enemy, parrying whenever the disc comes too close for comfort. the further out you are when they attack, the more time you'll have to wail on that enemy.
Easy mode and possibly normal mode give those perfect parries for the final trial/final boss a way more bearable timing. as far as i know as of writing this, there's no hidden after credits sequence for playing on hard.
Before fighting the final boss, Max out all of sonic's stats. this might be obvious, but you'll be thanking yourself for doing it when you actually fight it, thanks to a certain attack.
Quick cycloops are important for the final boss, especially when you can target the "holster" of sorts behind the head. after you do, make sure you do a normal cycloop around the weapon you just yanked out.
it's obvious to some, but some folk might not know, quick cycloop is limited, and has a meter on the side!
For the towers, lowering the difficulty will make it a little less brutal.. but besides that, one of the towers with those pink destroyable bricks you can homing attack will not respawn said bricks unless you reload the map. this can be by saving and re-loading said save, dying by jumping off a cliff, or going into a cyberspace level.
