Blindfolds.
Did she put it on herself? Or did she believe she was born with it?
Maybe she's not escaping reality, maybe the fantasy is just...pleasurable. Being seen, desired, chosen, connected. Even if she invented it.
It hurts, but loneliness hurts more, leaving her with her own thoughts to deal with.
Does she need comfort? Tenderness? Or does she need the voices to go quiet.
What happens when there is no one to imagine?
No look across the street to turn into a story.
No stranger's smile to wonder about.
No possibility to hold onto.
Would she still want love?
Or was she only afraid of being alone.
