Get hyped.

Looking over the FS1 prelims, they’re kind of more interesting than I gave them credit for. Damm and Dunham is likely a loser leaves town fight. The next 3 fights are between new talent (Cannonier, Garbrandt, and Felder) and guys that haven’t been able to get over the hump for one reason or another (Jordan, Brimage, and Castillo). Brimage vs Garbrandt is the standout fight. Brimage is a top 15/10 talent at bantamweight and probably should of got the decision over Doane. Garbrandt has the makings of a future title contender at bantamweight.

Not much left to say about the main card. Jury-Cerrone winner and Lombard and Horiguchi  are likely in title eliminators next should they win impressively. Not really sure what to make of Marquardt-Tavares except that someone in the brass still probably believes in Tavares. Enough has been said about the main event.

Mattys Top 20 Albums of 2014

So here we are, closing in on the end of 2014. What a year! Where do we go from here? Well we will be continuing to cover combat sports, sports entertainment (pro wrestling), movies, music and all that good shit. I will also be working on my own music a lot next year so I will definitely have my hands full of things to do.

There were a lot of good records out this year. A lot of people I've spoken to have said "how the hell have you heard more than 20 albums this year?". It's because I love music more than I love anything else in this entire worthless plane of existence. I always look for the best new music I can find that will inspire my own musical ventures. So here are the 20 albums of this year that have really stuck with me.

GSP in Kickboxer?!

Jean Claude Van DAYUM! Looks like we'll be waiting even longer before we see the former welterweight champion back in the octagon. Now you're probably as bummed out as I was upon hearing this but it's for a good reason. A REEEEEEALLLLYYYY good reason. GSP, who many believe to be the greatest fighter in the history of ever, has been cast in the remake of Jean Claude Van Damme's classic film Kickboxer. GSP will be going to that dark place in his head to prepare for his role alongside Alain Moussi, JCVD himself, Gina Carrano and the man with the iron fists himself, Drax the Destroyer Dave Bautista. GSP and JCVD in one movie? A remake of one of the greatest martial arts movies of all time? This is going to be SUH-WEET!

TLC Predictions:

Here are the House of Legacies predictions for the WWE PPV TLC, which takes places Sunday December 14 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Miz & Damien Mizdow vs The Usos (Tag Team Titles). Considering how hot with the fans Damien Mizdow's gimmick is with the fans, even the smarks (smart marks) I can see Miz and Mizdow retaining the tag team titles in this one.

Erick Rowan vs Big Show (Stairs Match). Erick Rowan has been getting a lot of fan support since just before Survivor Series. I think they continue this and Big Show puts Rowan over giving him the win.

Ryback vs Kane (Chairs Match). Complete filler match. Kane is legendary. Ryback is for lack of a better word vanilla. As the chants go he is a wannabe Goldberg. I can see this being a match that is an attempt to put over a guy who just didn't cut it with the fans last time.

Luke Harper vs Dolph Ziggler (Ladder Match). Dolph Ziggler is white hot right now. Sole survivor at Survivor Series, the WWE are finally booking him as the star that he is. I see Ziggler coming out with the strap.

Dean Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt (TLC Match). With their match at Survivor Series ending in a DQ and both of these guys being the two hottest "anti heroes" in the company right now it's hard to judge this one. The fan in me wants to see Ambrose win this one but I can see Bray Wyatt also going over in this one.

Six Move Cena vs Seth Rollins (Tables Match). Do I really need to predict this one? Isn't it obvious by now? With his shot at Brock Lesnar's title at stake he's going make those shoulder tackles a little more...tacklier? Either way we know how this is going to go. Seth Rollins goes to Curb Stomp Cena through the table from the top rope, Cena will move, probably catch Seth Rollins or do some bullshit counter, arm drag, shoulder tackle, you can't see me, AA through the table and we get Cena vs Lesnar III. This ladies and gentlemen I can assure you will be exactly the same as the first sequel. Dull, boring, stiff and Cena will get the title, Brock will dance off back to UFC (we can only hope) and Paul Heyman will continue to be the legend he is while he posts pictures of half naked women on Twitter. There has only been one trilogy that hasn't made me want to kill myself and that's the original Star Wars films. Cena vs Brock III will not be Return of the Jedi. Nothing will EVER be as cool as Return of the Jedi.
