The original Guild Wars is ALSO 50% off on Steam

Just like it’s sequel, the original Guild Wars has gone half off on Steam. Old time players will be able to pick up anything they miss for $20 or less while those new to the first game may buy the core game and Eye of the North for just under $25.

Guild Wars gets Updates again

The game also came off pure maintenance mode recently and has been receiving small updates lately as a few devs have made volunteering on the game into an after-hours hobby. The devs efforts have mainly focused on “low hanging fruit” that allows the game to look and work better on modern hardware as well as removing a few of the more annoying bugs.

Recent Updates have:

Added an option in the UI to remove the flat “billboards” used in distance that used to help vintage graphics cards run smoother.

An graphics option called “Advanced” now doubles the render distance and make ground vegetation go out even farther.

Windowed Full Screen support.

Full Screen works on any monitor.

Allowed more mini pets to render in Outposts

New options chat options to reduce spam.

The original Guild Wars remains on sale till June 5th.
