Right there, that dancer up there, Sara Webb, will be wearing a pair of earrings I made. My pointe teacher just bought them for her. Oh my gosh, this is crazy. My mind is totally blown away now :)

A handful of years ago (my, has time has past!) I did a photoshoot through my college with Houston Ballet. I don’t know if they ever used any of the shots us student gave them, but I was lucky to get to shoot Jim Nowakowski. I just checked the Houston Ballet site and saw he was promoted to demi soloist last year and I’m so happy for him. He was so much fun to work with and he really is an excellent dancer.
I loved the shot I got of him in the middle until I realized how crooked it was. Oh, well. He looks absolutely fantastic and I suppose that’s what really matters.
I remember him asking me, “Can I jump?” Yes, Jim. You can jump.
