People wanna act like abortion is the issue here -- as if nothing comes before it and pregnant women just drop outta the sky -- while forgetting to talk about how having sex like horny ducks is the real problem. Maybe if we, as a human collective, just stopped having so much fuckin' sex, the whole abortion issue would clear itself up?
Another advice for girls and young women: love and sex is supposed to be fun, happy and make your life better. If it’s not, if it’s making you miserable, if it’s making you love yourself less, if it’s making you doubt yourself, and if you feel like you have to sacrifice yourself or put up with things you don’t want to, you are absolutely entitled to throw it out from your life. In fact, you should, because your life is so, so valuable and you have the right to be happy. Being a girl does not mean having to accept misery and pain, even if that’s what we’re often taught. You are allowed to decide what comes into your life. Let it be happy and beautiful.
I adore a man who thrives by his mind and not his dick brain.
All the bad stuff that happens during a lifetime...the fears we have, the bad memories that haunt us...the #dread.
Painted Hearts | Explained 💔
Your heart leads you astray. It leads you into bad relationships. It leads you to the point of being taken advantage of, being hurt, and becoming broken.
Listening to your heart makes you weak because you are listening to what you want to believe instead of what is actual reality.
Listening to your heart tells you you're in love, but ultimately, that love is meant to hurt you and bring you years of misery.
Listening to your heart makes you stay in places you don't belong trying to make things happen that never will, but your heart keeps holding on...to a hope, a dream, a memory...that you should let go.
But your heart will hold on long after the last call, even when you're all alone, even after the fall.
Your mind, however, when you listen to your mind, you write books and shit. You accomplish your goals legit. You do things you never did back when you were being distracted by all that heartbreaking.
When you listen to your heart, you date that bad guy who ends up holding you back and giving you scars. That was listening to your heart. Listening to your heart causes you to possibly lose years of your life to an unhappy heart. Ah, the irony. Listen to your mind, and your heart will follow, but listen to your heart, and you lose your mind.
nope
And so it begins
Fun fact: women are humans! Women’s rights are human rights. Feminism is not an “all lives matter” movement, it’s just for women and girls.
hey everyone, reminder that every person who gets, has gotten, or will get an abortion is a woman or a girl. abortion is entirely a women’s rights issue, which is a human rights issue by virtue of the fact that women are fucking human
Thank you! Saying "this isn't JUST a women's rights issue, it's a human rights issue" implies that women aren't human, or at least we aren't the important kind of human.
For years, it has been reported that women are significantly more likely to be injured in car crashes than men—Jezebel wrote about the phenomenon back in 2011, when it appeared that seat belts were to blame.
“For years, it has been reported that women are significantly more likely to be injured in car crashes than men—Jezebel wrote about the phenomenon back in 2011, when it appeared that seat belts were to blame. Most of the women harmed were, to quote USA Today nearly a decade ago, of “relatively short stature,” and “preferred seating posture and a combination of factors yielding lower safety protection from the standard restraint devices.” Cool, cool: seat belts weren’t designed with women in mind.
A new study from the University of Virginia suggests that, not only is the discrepancy still true, the crash test dummies commonly used to test vehicle safety runs are also at fault. Presumably, that’s because manufactures make very little effort to represent the bulk of human women when designing them.
As City Lab reports, “the odds of serious injury or death for female car-crash victims is 73 percent higher than for males,” which could have something to do with the fact that “average male” type dummies are most frequently used in crucial safety testing. When “woman-type” dummy was introduced in 2003, it was, and still is, only 5 feet tall, and weighs 110 pounds, just a touch outside the dimensions of your average woman.”

JFC - ADD THIS TO THE LIST OF HOW PATRIARCHAL CULTURE AND SEXISM ARE LITERALLY KILLING WOMEN
so is there a mister chievous?
To my fellow young women
Sometimes I think about what the world would be like if men just acted remotely decent. Like imagine if they weren't committing endless murder, rape, and molestation. How much resources we would have if those resources weren't spent combating human trafficking and investigating murders and dealing with the mental health impacts of rape. How many millions of dollars, hours of time, labor of women could be spent elsewhere. They're collectively wasting our (women's) world and our (everyone's) world.
That's actually the theme of a French book that was published a few months ago : "Le coût de la virilité" (the cost of masculinity) by Lucile Peytavin. According to her research, France could save nearly 100 billion euros per year if men committed violence at the same rate as women.
It reminds me of this book! I saw it in a bookstore but I didn't grab it.
bet the people giving it one or two stars haven't actually read it and are just furious anyone would dare talk about male violence
The reviews are a wild ride:
The biggest difference between men and women that I’ve noticed is that men are far more willing to fake a relationship for personal benefit. That’s why I find the concept of a gold digger so interesting. Some of the biggest gold diggers I know personally are men.
Most men have very strict boundaries about giving women money or gifts. Let’s be honest, most men are extremely stingy, unless they truly adore you, so it’s very hard to be a female gold digger. It takes a lot of effort and most women can just get whatever themselves so it’s not really worth the time. Men on the other hand take advantage of women’s generosity all the time. Is there a derogatory term for that?
