“What, haven’t ‘ya ever seen an automail arm before?”
oh. oh my goodness!
' i -- uH, i am so sorry! I really didn't mean to stare! ' Toboe fidgeted in his spot and desperately tried to wave the attention else where but he had been asked a question. ' ..no, where I come from -- things like that are rare. ' You know, the forest.
Send a ✗ and my muse will react to being called a monster.
why? why do humans always look to the sky? why do you try so hard to fly when you don’t have any wings? we’ll run on our own legs.
″ If we run into them, we run into them. The hell would I waste my time looking for a guy that’s full a crap and a pig for? ″
x— There was a smile on his face while he said this, he was joking and for once he could laugh if he wasn’t so closed up with his emotions. It was something he would of said before, something that would of been full of hate and bitter toward those two but gave him nothing but headaches and pains. Now, he wanted to find them, to see them, to make sure that they made it. Maybe they were somewhere else, in their own worlds, in their own paradise. If this was his, then it was his. He didn’t have the right to complain about it, why would he. Somehow, oddly enough, he was content with how things were.
The runt being chipper and happy as he ever could be, but he was always that way, always excited to run at his side as if he wanted to always be there. It was confusing, beyond confusing actually, but he tried to let it go just for awhile. Maybe he’ll ask about it later on but too much talking could lead for him to get annoyed.
While he had no choice in the matter to keep questioning the pups morals, he would let it go for now and continued to walk with his nose up in the air, maybe he would get a wiff of something, but his sense of smell was nothing that of Hige’s. His instinct was nothing that of Kiba’s and the positive attitude was nothing that of the Toboe’s. They all had their qualities and traits about them, and he had no idea what his own was. The faint smell of flowers, all kinds surrounded them in this place. From pine trees to willow, oak and so on, the forest was full of life instead of death and rotten wood. He felt at peace and the grass beneath them was over grown, green, and covered with the blossoms of the trees near by. Knowing where he had walked before, but he didn’t feel the need to go down the same pathway again, knowing that the way back would be the same. It was best to take different short cuts and back roads, maybe things would wind up being more interesting that.
He walked one then, a light smile on his face as he did so, but he was trying to concentrate on what it was he was actually going to be doing next. There wasn’t much to do, but there wasn’t much to fear. They didn’t necessarily have to blend in with the life of the city, which was beyond the forest and down the few path ways that led into public parks. He had recently came from that way before Toboe had decided to hug his arms around him and cry on his shirt. Good to know that the other had stopped crying, because he wouldn’t really know how to deal with that as much as he didn’t know how where to go.
' because they're our friends, duh. ' But, it gave Toboe a sense of relief when the two were called by their given nicknames. Well, nicknames that only Tsume called them. It made the red wolf happy to know that Tsume, despite his grumpiness, hadn't forgotten their little pack of misfits. Toboe wanted them all back together but if that couldn't happen -- he was 100% happy with just having Tsume.
If Toboe had to give Tsume a trait that could be admired than it would have to be his loyalty. Despite saying one thing and doing the opposite, Tsume was loyal. Sure, he was hardheaded and could hurt feelings but his loyalty was the trait that Toboe saw fit to praise.
He stood next to them and fought along with them even if he hadn't believed in the whole paradise thing from the beginning. Toboe thought that was something Tsume should be proud of -- his ability to judge, doubt and worry but stay completely loyal through it all. Maybe Tsume didn't see it himself but that was besides the point.
The young wolf glanced up at the gray wolf before picking up his step so they were side by side. Toboe dropped his arms from behind his head and took a deep breath, he was about to take a large step and it could possibly get him smacked upside the head.
' we should hold hands so we, uh, don't get separated. ' It was a piss ass excuse but it was something that Toboe wanted to do. His smaller hand reached out and took Tsume's larger one, trying his best to wrap his small digits around the others much larger ones. ' wow, tsume. you're pretty warm. '
Maybe he just wanted to make sure this was all real and that he was really walking next to the other. Toboe didn't want to walk up and realize this had all been a dream, he wasn't sure if he could recover if it turned out to be. He didn't want to be lonely anymore and he certainly didn't want to go back to desperately walking the city streets in search of something, those he cared for, that had been taken from him.
♕ –; “Oh?” she couldn’t imagine going out by herself to bring back something for her family. Whenever she and her family went out, which was rarely they all went together. Meals hardly went without being in each other’s company. So long as he returned to his friends, she supposed that was all that mattered.
She didn’t know how to answer that and wondered what link he and the other three shared together. Saya learned a long time ago bonds forged beyond blood tasted all the sweeter and remained stronger than anything else she ever experienced.
He was glad? Then she too found a brief sense of purpose in her breast even if she realized she wasn’t incredibly helpful. “Meat huh?” she mused as her rusty maroon eyes shifted to her feet. “Are you going to cook it later? Or are you thinking about something you can put on a sandwich?” she lifted her eyes back up to the young man.
The wolves were just strange like that, honestly. Sure, they ate together but the part that was actually work was done by one or two of them. Usually, It was Hige that went out and got everything but for some reason Toboe was stuck with the job. He told them before he left that they weren't allowed to complain about what he brought back.
Their bond? Well, without Cheza -- there probably would have never been a bond. The four, most likely by fate, had been brought together and they just decided to stick together. It was funny because they wouldn't admit to enjoying each other's company.. Actually, Toboe would admit to it without a single strand of hesitation.
' Mhm, meat! ' The wolf answered with a nod. ' uh, cook it later? Sandwich? ' Toboe had to say that he was a tad bit embarrassed. To them, it didn't matter if it was cooked or raw. ' I think everyone would like.. deer? ' Wait, was that weird to say? Um, -- ' haha! maybe steak? ' Trying to bounce back was difficult.
Begins to shovel down as much of the pudding he has. Maro then begins to choke because it’s too much chocolate pudding for one simple man to handle. Please save this boy.
Uh, pats the boy's back cautiously -- ' uh, i don't know that thing that is suppose to be done.. ' So, in other words, please don't really be choking because he can't save you.
okay guys, i've got a major headache so replies are on hold until it's gone but feel free to like this if you'd like a starter when I get online.

too tired to continue.
♕ –; “Yeah,” she answered with a curt nod. Dark locks of hair bounded with the swift movement and tickled the tips of her ears. He didn’t seem to be too old maybe price posed as an issue for him and his friends. Most children her “age” didn’t carry a lot of money on them and she pondered why he didn’t just get something from home. The idea he didn’t possess a steady source of food never entered her mind.
“That’s where I usually go where I’m hungry,” it didn’t help she worked within one. When clients didn’t enter her domain she usually ate much to the dismay of her brother. “Really? I’m glad, I didn’t want to seem nosy,” she dropped her hand and clung to her opposite wrist. Saya prudently chewed on her lower lip. “But that still doesn’t solve your problem. Was there something you were looking for in particular?”
Golden hues stayed on her while she talked -- a habit of his. Toboe liked to be looking at the person he was conversing with even though his ears could hear just fine.
' really? but I guess a lot of people do, right? ' Toboe asks while tapping the bottom of his chin. ' usually, one of us goes out and brings something back. ' Even though, that's not how wolves usually worked. ' we rarely go out together. '
Mostly like because while they complimented each other, they also brought out the worse in each other. If Kiba wasn't following his gut then Tsume was threatening to leave and Hige was stealing from street vendors. Honestly, they were all idiots.
' not at all! i'm actually quite glad you've decided to help. ' he smiled. Toboe was silent for a moment. In particular? ' meat. that should satisfy everyone. '
″ … . ″
x— Yes, of course he was lonely, that was the constant in his life and something he learned once Toboe made himself comfortable within his life. He kept staring toward the kid for a moment or so then toward toward their feet. It was so odd how honest with himself Toboe could be, speaking his mind without a care in the world, that smile, it was real and while he wanted so much to return the same smile back at him, he continued to stare with a blank stare. He did not mean to seem so not amused with how things suddenly were, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
With a rough push of the other’s head with his fingers, he began to turn around and walk ahead, hands placed within his pockets. When realizing runt wasn’t following, probably hesitant or waiting for some kind of okay in the matter, Tsume lifted his head in the air, took a sniff then glanced over his shoulder. Golden eyes narrowed toward his specific direction. Suppose he was lonely, what was he going to do about it? Absolutely nothing, no one could do anything about it.
″Keep up then, or I will leave you behind.″
Together, the would be that way until finding others or until they got tired of each other. Tsume was sure the kid would be first to crack, he would leave due to his attitude or something he would soon say that would get under the other’s skin somehow. It happened, he still had the will power to piss people off, that never went away and he was glad it didn’t. Somehow, his personality had toned down and he was more accepted to some things, but otherwise he had not changed at all. Maybe, in some ways, he was already accepted the way he was regardless. There was no way of knowing, he stayed there waiting patiently to hear dumb boots scruff against the soil to follow him. Even though he didn’t really know where he was heading by this point - where ever it was - he would be happy with the result.
Toboe kept his smile even though Tsume hadn't come out and said that he had been lonely without him. If the pup had learned one thing then it was that Tsume felt but he didn't show. The gray wolf kept it all bottled up so tightly that Toboe couldn't help but to think that one day it was going to explode -- and hurt a hundred times worse.
However, trying to get that through Tsume's stubborn ways was like trying to go head to head with a bull. Maybe, Tsume is actually half bull. Toboe found himself laughing to himself but suddenly there was a rough push directing his head to the side in which the runt was quick to cover with his hands.
' ow! ' Toboe let out as a pout covered his face with narrowed golden eyes. He would get him back for that sooner or later. Most likely later, if he were honest.
But he stayed put until he got an okay to follow. Toboe would have ended up following anyway but it was nice to actually receive something that said Tsume didn't mind that he followed. Boots hit the soil in a jog to catch up and soon, he was standing beside the other with hands behind his head -- relaxed.
Toboe had decided, way back when, that he would always stay be Tsume's side even if the others didn't want to. Sure, Toboe would miss Kiba, Hige and even Blue but he liked being next to Tsume even though he was grumpy 24/7. Hopefully, one day Toboe could prove his loyalty and worth.
' sooo, where are we going? ' Toboe asked but he didn't give Tsume any time to give an answer before he was talking again. ' to find the others, right? '
♕ –; A quiet voice piped an answer without any hesitation to the inquiry, “Take them to a restaurant.” Her father often said; A hungry man’s an angry man. The idea of three hungry and possibly angry men wandering around didn’t bode well for the waitress.
The school girl’s hands locked behind her as she glanced over at the boy. Something about him felt different and she found herself curious. She often found herself hungry and needed to sate her curiosity and the constant gnaw at her stomach. One of her hands shot up defensively as a shy smile crossed her pnk lips, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to eavesdrop! But you should find a way to feed them before they get hungry.”
' a restaurant? ' A place where humans served food, right? Toboe stood there in thought for a moment and the longer he thought about it, the more it seemed like a bad idea. Kiba, who was blind - Tsume, who was angry 24/7 - Hige, a total glutton.
Why did that just seem like a disaster waiting to happen? Honestly, Toboe wasn't too worried about Kiba but the other two? Well, that was an entirely different story. Though, something else was troubling the young wolf -- this girl's smell..
' oh, no! You're okay! ' Toboe says with a smile and a rub to the back of his head. Yeah, she was right but one shouldn't just take three wolves into a restaurant. ' ugh, usually i'm not the one doing this so i'm pretty conflicted. ' Then there was the small fact that wolves don't really carry money on them.
The responding voice was close by, as was the scent of his young friend. His ears twitched. He didn’t realize he was worried until relief flooded him. He realized it came from below. Kiba blinked. He focused a little harder on the grayed out shapes, trying to catch the right outline. It sounded like Toboe was alright, which meant he’d have to find out what took him so long. Kiba considered leaping down from the ledge. He could figure out where the ground was (the big gray splotch, that was getting more and more dark as the moment went on) and Toboe’s slightly darker outline.
“Are you coming up here or do I have to go down and get you?”
His tone was both faintly teasing and somewhat scolding at the same time. Kiba sat back on his haunches and tilted his head as he waited for the response.
' i can totally get up there. ' Can you really, Toboe? Can you really? The pup was thankful that Kiba was the one to come find him. Tsume would have probably slapped him upside the head and Hige, probably, would have gotten distracted by the smell of food. Somehow, that made them sound like a band of rejects or the better word
would be.. i d i o t s. Okay, Toboe, you can do this. The red wolf looked for the easiest route and started up the side, taking small and longer jumps to get to his dear friend. However, Toboe had always been rather clumsy and proved that when he slipped.
' --oomf. ' Fell from the runt as he stumbled forward and bumped into a protruding piece of rock. ' ouch! ' A huff escaped him but he made it in one piece. ' i'm here. I did a pretty good job, if I don't say so myself. ' Minus the trip.
