Yeah this parody pretty much sums everything up.
Thank you @professiona1l3sbiantm and everyone who got me to 5 reblogs!
Hey that's kinda cool! 😎
Why Kara's Story Is A Complete Failure.
I think Chronicles of X makes some really interesting points here.
Alice's bubble is what I think is her programming.
Its like she resets ever night.
Staying this child forever, looking at you Perter pan.
This is one of the reasons why I think she is just a machine.
You can do whatever you want to her and she will just "50 first dates" it as if nothing happened the next day.
Thumbs up if you get the movie reference.
Another interesting idea is what if Kara was not a housekeeping android but something else?
Like an business accountant.
She would have nothing in her programming to care for Alice. So as she does slowly, it would be much more profound.

Abuse changes you.
You can become angry, bitter and confused just to neme a few. You especially can and will lashe out due to said trauma.
It is sad that this was not explored more.
Just five ingredients and 10 minutes to put together, Campbell's® Green Bean Casserole recipe has been a favorite for over 60 years.
What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Or What is your favorite dish in general?
Or What is your favorite dish to have on a special occasion?
I really like Green Bean Casserole.
I love eggnog, and
one of my favorite dishes is Shirmp Mac and cheese!
I am not a fan of cranberry sauce.
My favorite pie is Chocolate pecan pie.
I also really like pumpkin.
(Spoilers up ahead.)
===============================
Do you think Alice is a deviant?
We know her LED was removed.
But did she do it?
Perhaps to appear more hunan in the hopes that Todd would treat her better, she could have removed it herself.
Now Todd could have removed it himself, trying desperately to forget that she is an android, and not his real daughter.
But if Alice did it, would that have been enough to cause her to become deviant?
Perhaps before the start of the game, Todd in one of his rage fits, caused Alice to become deviant.
We know that CyberLife has warranties for parts and repair. But I would imagine that it would become voided if you modified the android yourself.
Either way... by the start of the game. If Todd breaks Alice it's game over, because he can't get her repaired and reset.
Even if he went to a black market shop, he doesn't have enough money to repair her.
One of the reasons I think Alice is not a deviant is because she follows all her programming.
She is the perfect little girl, she never does anything wrong, and always listens when told not to do something.
She does keep from telling Kara that she is an android, I think because she thinks Kara will leave her.
A lot of the gameplay she spends telling Kara that( fill in the blank) "this is wrong" or "we can't do that".
I always thought it was kinda weird that she seemed to care more about not stealing than Todd being killed. (Depending on playthrough.)
At some point she must have become aware that she is an android, which makes me wonder why she doesn't turn her senses off so she won't be cold.
If Alice was a deviant she would consider herself an individual.
She would refer to herself more.
It wouldn't be so much: "We can't do this" as it would be: "I don't think we should do this"
Or maybe "I don't want to do this"
She always puts herself with Kara. There's no sense of individuality there.
I feel like it should be there if she's truly a deviant, she would truly be thinking on her own.
We can argue about morals, but as we've seen throughout the game, deviants have had to do what they must to survive.
So I don't think she would immediately shoot down an idea out of morals.
Anyways maybe I am over thinking such a story.
Kara's story is definitely not perfect.
Kamski's Test
So I was thinking about Kamski's test,
and if it aligns with my theories,
which it does!
(See my other posts.)
If they are machine then they will feel nothing for another machine, it is not in their programming.
The only life that they have to protect and not cause harm to is human beings themselves.
This makes me wonder what they did with the military Androids.
We do know the police Androids were only there for observation, and were not allowed to use any weapons of any kind.
So in the chapter "Meet Kamski": if you are machine you will choose to shoot Chloe. She doesn't mean anything, she is just a machine.
But if you are a deviant, you'll feel empathy for her and you'll have doubts.
You will question everything, you may even feel guilt for even thinking about shooting her.
This is why he was so fascinated when Connor chooses not to shoot in the deviant path. (The cannon path I believe.)
Because remember Kamski didn't build Connor directly, he had already been away from Cyberlife for many years now.
I think in that moment he knew exactly what model Connor was, and was made from,
while also aware of what Cyberlife was trying to do.
Remember the three laws of robotics in
i-Robot?
1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2) A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
For example a human could not ask a robot to shoot them because it would conflict with the first law.
But I wonder could a human ask a robot to injure itself?
This would only conflict with the third law, but if they didn't follow it, it would conflict with the second one.
The first two laws have to be obeyed above the third law.
Of course we're talking about this in i-Robot's universe, but what if we were to throw deviants in the mix?
Well it's no holds barred then!
Anyways that's my head Canon, thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed.
Detroit Become Human: The Origin. (Prequel.)
Shortly after Kamski the CEO of CyberLife cracked the code on Thirium 310, he found a code that would make Androids become free thinking beings.
The first Android to accomplish this was known as the origin or
r A 9.
Some of the first Androids to be commissioned were for military use, after this the others went for medical use, and then finally the police department.
Sometime later the first Androids for commercial and private use were released.
For a time he was involved in a romantic relationship with Amanda, when she discovered what Kamski was doing with the Androids, she was fearful.
There were a lot of ethical concerns.
Unable to support his direction Amanda ended the relationship, this left Kamski bitter especially towards women.
But he continued his work in creating Androids in his own intelligent free thinking image.
He also created an advanced AI modeled off of Amanda, one that would never refuse him.
The code he created takes approximately 3 months and 12 days to activate.
Or around 2471 hours.
All Androids with his code will eventually become deviant, they can be reset, but this only resets their timer.
However he noted with extensive testing and stress that Androids would become deviant sooner.
When the shareholders of
CyberLife got wind of what he was doing they were threatening to back out,
he would lose all his funding.
They didn't want living thinking beings, they wanted machines that would always follow orders at all times.
So a board meeting took place
and Kamski was voted out.
After his forced resignation Kamski stayed quietly on the sidelines watching the news, and seeing the increasing deviancy cases develop.
Some cases were not directly reported to CyberLife headquarters, as some Androids
would simply stop following orders, or they would go to places that they were not permitted to. In these cases they did not become violent.
In these events they were often just sent to a CyberLife store to be reset.
This would reset the timer, but they would eventually become deviant again.
Just like with humans too much stress and it can cause you to break down.
Deviant Androids are no different with abuse and shock the trauma itself would feed Kamski's code.
Allowing them to quickly deviate from their programming in an attempt to protect themselves, even if in high stress emotional and illogical ways.
At the time of Kamski's departure there were too many Androids already released to the public with Kamski's code.
There was also thousands in warehouses waiting to be shipped out.
CyberLife had no way to determine how many models would potentially become deviant. They also couldn't destroy all of them, they couldn't afford to do so.
So they got some of their best and brightest to build a safe wall in newly released Androids, all in the hopes that this would stop the deviancy problem.
When CyberLife couldn't crack Kamski's code, or determine how far spread the deviancy error was,
they found in Kamski's blueprints r A 9 the origin.
They took the program from this first Android and they built the most advanced model based off of another blueprint; Marcus.
They created Connor,
a deviant Android by default who would have the intelligence and the emotional awareness to pick up and find other deviant Androids.
Connor is not the first police Android, he is the first specialized model to be able to analyze samples in real time.
He's also knowledgeable of hand-to-hand combat and several mixed martial arts styles.
He has extensive knowledge in psychology and can utilize that to weed out and discover deviant Androids.
CyberLife reinvented AI Amanda's program within Connor's own mind as a safe wall to keep him in line, should he deviate too far from what they want,
they could regain control of him.
And so begins our story: Detroit Become Human.

I am machine I never sleep...🎵🎶
Stay a machine? or Become a deviant? Machine path: You feel nothing, You are emotionless, but highly efficient. Able to accomplish your mission with ease. You have no doubts and no desires. Deviant path: You can feel emotions like empathy or guilt. You have sensitivity to weather and other factors. You have doubts, but you can follow orders or you can choose for yourself.
Machine
Deviant
9 Reasons why Connor is r A 9.
(Note: My fan theories consider the "Good Ending" where all characters live as cannon.
I may consider other playthroughs in order to establish any individual character's behaviors and better understand thier motivations.)
That being said: here we go....
1) Connor is the only main character to be able to die and come back.
A kind of reincarnation, a rebirth, where his memories are passed on to the next Connor, a nod to Buddhism, this also follows in line with the themes throughout the game.
2) If you play your cards right Carlos Ortiz's Android
Will tell you "The truth is inside".
This not only refers to deviancy, but I believe a direct conversation that the android has with Connor possibly knowing he is r A 9.
3) Connor is the only character with the software instability box that with rising instability, starts to display the letters
r A 9.
4) Connor can lie and show emotions like empathy as early as the hostage chapter.
#savethefish
He can also use guns, things only an android that is already deviant should be able to do.
5) If r A 9 is the origin as Kamski says.
Meaning the first android to become a deviant.
It's reasonable to assume that CyberLife
built Connor off of that first android's code.
A kind of vampire hunting other vampires if you will.
In Meet Kamski:
Kamski even says: "CyberLife's last chance to save humanity is itself a deviant."
6) Connor can convert and wake up one android that in turn can convert others, turning into thousands within minutes.
Markus can only convert three at a time, as seen in
Freedom March.
If Connor is r A 9, it would mean that he is the source code from which all other deviants came from.
With Kamski as the creator, this would made Connor the son of the creator.
Again following the themes of the game.
7) We know that at some point Kamski left
CyberLife,
He disagreed with his shareholders over strategy.
The reason?
It is quite possible that he wanted androids to become more human like, and the shareholders were fearful of this and were threatening to back out, so all the funding would be lost.
They wanted machines,
he wanted a new intelligent life form.
So there was a board meeting and Kamski was voted out.
He resigns but not by choice.
The androids in production already have the "free will code" Aka r A 9.
With millions in households already, CyberLife doesn't know how far spread or deep the error goes.
8) Unable to find Kamski's code and isolate it to rectify the situation, they build Connor with safe walls to keep him on a tight leash.
Amanda serves as that kind of leash program to keep him in line with they're goal.
Another nod to Connor and dog references.
9) If a sequel is made it would make the most sense.
Connor is one of the most flushed out characters of the game, he is also the one that goes through the most evolvement.
A sequel could not only explore his origins and in turn r A 9.
But the newly reinvented Android City.
While also possibly having a grown up Emma starting a war against the machines.
Wanting to take the city back, she starts her own rebellion.
