It feels really good to start a project that you don’t think will take that long but then you really enjoy it so you start finding ways to make it take longer and then it’s four am and you’re not even finished even though you started at like 6 pm and it makes it even better because it’s a gift for someone you love and also your honing a new art skill

gming monster of the week (for.. 3 years now?) is really cool and has genuinely effected the way understand stories and writing in general. its kinda hard to put in to words but i think the way the system breaks down storytelling and tropes (specific alt in the monster of the week genre) is a really interesting philosophy that i think has worked its way into more of my brain than that genre or ttrpg.

i generally really like the way that moves in powered by the apocalypse systems form and reflect stories and monster of the week does a really great job of that i think.
