Water fasting has been one of the greatest healing techniques in history and contunues to be so today. Everyday we eat, drink, & breathe in things that aren’t so pure which eventually clogs our body’s filters, such as lungs, nose, liver & kidneys. Over time, our bodies heat up & then the immune system gets knocked down. Fevers actually make the body sweat out toxins and triggers the urge not to eat, which essentially is a natural fast. ✨🍔BeastMode Burger🍔✨ • When I first went vegan @CinnamonSnail was one of the first vegan places let alone food truck I ate from & it was this insane burger here. ✨🍕Pizza Quesadilla 🍕✨ • I️ went alone to @seasonedvegav this weekend because I️ was in Harlem & I️ refused to leave without eating here. Everyone was with their spouse or family eating relaxed while I️ was sitting there alone so excited like a kid in a candy shop. They were playing Sade & the energy was amazing, a vegan restaurant with that real Harlem soul from the food to the workers. I read everything on the menu & decided that this is what I️ wanted to start with, a Pizza Quesadilla with Soy “Chicken”. • Ingredients - Marinara Sauce - Vegan Mozzarella Cheese - Soy “Grilled Chicken” - Flour Tortilla • This Quesadilla is only $10 & it was so good! It honestly filled me up a lot more than I️ expected. I’m really picky with vegan cheese but this cheese was amazing, it didn’t have a weird texture or after taste. Laetiporus Sulphureus is a genus of edible mushrooms found throughout much of the world. Laetiporus comes from the Latin meaning “a wealth of pores;” sulphureus means “a bright yellow color. My good friend @skinkanvastattoo believe it or not found these in the woods here in New York! • @skinkanvastattoo has a lot of knowledge & experience when it comes to mushrooms so I️ had no doubt in my mind that these wouldn’t get me sick or anything like that. The texture of these mushrooms has more of a chicken like texture than any soy product I’ve ever ate. I️ made burgers with them & I’ll be posting the recipe up soon. ✨🍊 Kumquats 🍊✨ • Kumquats are a very small sized fruit that is native to South-Eastern parts of China. They look exactly like tiny tiny tiny oranges. One of the coolest things about them is that it’s 100% edible, you can just take a bite of it including the skin! • Kumquats are filled with Antioxidant vitamins (A, C and E). Flavonoid antioxidants like carotenes, lutein, zeaxanthin and tannins. The skin of the fruit is very sweet while the inside is very sour, I’ve honestly never ate a fruit that had two totally opposite tastes at the same time. ✨🌱 Snack Time🌱✨ • So a lot of people messaged me yesterday asking how to eat the Chia Seeds, so I made a quick little breakfast/snack to show you guys. • Here’s what’s on this plate - 1 sliced banana - 1 pack of raspberries - 1 granola bar - Agave syrup drizzle - Chia Seeds • You can always add a ton of fruits, I just love bananas & raspberries. The granola was packed with so many nuts & seeds, the agave is used to keep the chia seeds sticky to the fruit & to also add some flavor. From the texture of the patty to the sauces they add on the bread, they really did their thing creating this. • The hero is soy based with such a unique breading that covers the patty. 🌱✨ Vegan BLT ✨🌱 • I woke up this morning craving a really fulfilling sandwich. Luckily I purchased some Hickory Vegan Bacon by @SweetEarthFoods from @HaymakersCorner. This was my first time trying it so I was excited. • I simply toasted 2 slices of bread and spread some vegan mayo from @TraderJoes. I put some lettuce & kale on top, than added the cut veggies which consist of onions, peppers & tomatoes. I drizzled some olive oil & sprinkled some black pepper for the finishing touch! P. These were honestly the best Churo’s I’ve ever had in my life, the outside was so crunchy while the inside was so warm & sweet.
