part of the appeal of my leishmania character is having yucky sores all the time, but theres not rlly a good chronic condition that looks like leishmaniasis, and i dont want it to literally have straight up real leishmaniasis. we are lampshading any hypothetical existence of real parasites. so im basically just making up an unspecified chronic skin condition that coincidentally happens to look exactly like leishmaniasis without actually being caused by parasitic protozoans. #worldbuilding. also hey
